If you’re in Emsworth this morning why not head down to the Quay and support the Emsworth & Havant RNLI Quay Sale?

There’s a boat jumble. RNLI souvenirs. Home produce. Nearly-new items and a tombola. Plus tea coffee and cake ☕🍰

It’s taking place at the bottom of South Street and inside Emsworth Slipper Sailing Club until 1pm today.

A lovely local event raising vital funds to help the RNLI continue saving lives at sea 💙

Well done to all the volunteers giving their time and to Emsworth Slipper Sailing Club for supporting the event 👏

This week’s local shout-out goes to Emsworth Yacht Harbour ⛵️

Yesterday reminded us that it’s so much more than simply somewhere to keep our boat—it’s a wonderfully friendly community too.

The tide wasn’t quite right for us to take our own boat, but thankfully our lovely friends invited us aboard theirs for the Emsworth Yacht Harbour picnic at East Head.

What a fantastic day! We spotted seals 🦭on the way, beached the boat, enjoyed a wonderful picnic, some boat owners played rounders and even had a visit from the ice-cream boat! 🍦

The weather was kind to us and it was just brilliant to spend the day with such a lovely group of people, enjoying this beautiful place we’re so lucky to have on our doorstep.

A big thank you to everyone at who helped make it such an enjoyable day. We absolutely loved it! ⚓️💙

A little Saturday shout-out for Soles of Emsworth 👞👏

One of my deck shoes had come unglued at the toe and I initially thought I might have to throw them away.

I took them into Soles and the owner said: “Give me a minute.”

He glued it back together and when I asked how much I owed him, he said: “Nothing at all. It’s called service.”

He then explained that although the shoes had originally been glued, he could actually stitch the soles properly using a machine dating back to the 1960s.

Ten minutes later, both shoes had been stitched for just £10 and they are now better and stronger than before.

That is proper old-fashioned service and a great example of why our local independent businesses are worth supporting 💛
