💜✨ As July comes to a close, I’d love to ask you a simple question…

What are you proud of this month?

It doesn’t have to be something big.

Maybe you finally took some time to rest without feeling guilty. Perhaps you started a new habit, had a difficult conversation, showed yourself a little more kindness, or simply got through a month that felt harder than expected.

Sometimes our biggest achievements are the ones nobody else ever sees.

The mornings we got out of bed when we didn’t feel like it.

The boundaries we quietly put in place.

The moments we chose hope over fear.

The tiny steps that, over time, become real progress.

Whatever your July has looked like, I hope you’ll take a moment to recognise just how far you’ve come.

Here at Brambleside Holistics, I also wanted to say a heartfelt thank you.

Whether you’ve liked a post, left a comment, shared something with a friend, visited me at an event, booked a treatment, or simply followed along quietly, it genuinely means more than you probably realise.

Running a small business is such a rewarding journey, but it can also feel a little lonely at times. Knowing there’s a wonderful community here, learning, sharing and supporting one another, makes all the difference.

If you’ve enjoyed any of my posts this month and would like to support Brambleside, one of the simplest (and kindest!) things you can do is like, comment on or share a post that resonates with you.

It might seem like a small action, but it really does help more people discover my page and allows this lovely community to continue growing.

So thank you—for your support, your encouragement, and for being here.

It truly means the world to me. 💜

🌿 I’d love to celebrate with you…

What’s one thing you’re proud of from July? Big or small, I’d love to hear it. Let’s fill the comments with little wins and remind each other that every step forward is worth celebrating.

Here’s to August, and all the opportunities, growth and gentle moments it will bring. 🌿

💜✨ Communication is a skill… and like any skill, it grows with practice. ✨

Many of us think good communication is about always knowing the right thing to say.

The truth is, it’s rarely that simple.

Sometimes communicating well means speaking up. Sometimes it means listening more closely. Sometimes it means taking a breath before responding, or recognising that it’s okay to say, “I need a little time to think about that.”

Learning to express yourself with confidence isn’t about becoming louder or more outspoken. It’s about finding a way to communicate that feels honest, respectful and true to who you are.

That can take practice, especially if you’re someone who’s used to putting other people’s needs first or worrying about saying the “wrong” thing.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that communication starts long before we speak.

It begins with understanding our own thoughts and feelings, recognising what we need, and giving ourselves permission to express those needs with kindness.

Some gentle things that can help include taking a moment to pause before reacting, really listening to understand rather than simply waiting for your turn to speak, using “I” statements to explain how you’re feeling, and remembering that healthy boundaries are part of good communication too.

And perhaps most importantly…

Speak to yourself with the same compassion you would offer someone you love.

The way we talk to ourselves often becomes the way we believe we’re allowed to communicate with the world around us.

💜 This week’s gentle reflection:

What’s one small change you could make that would help you communicate a little more confidently this week?

Maybe it’s expressing an opinion you’ve been keeping to yourself, asking for help, setting a boundary, or simply reminding yourself that your voice is just as important as everyone else’s.

Every small step counts.

🌿 I’d love to hear your thoughts. Which communication tip resonates with you the most, or is there something that’s helped you express yourself with more confidence?

💙✨ Crystal of the Week: Sodalite ✨💙

As we continue exploring Communication & Authentic Expression, I couldn’t think of a more fitting crystal to shine a light on this week than Sodalite.

With its beautiful deep blue tones, often threaded with soft white veins, Sodalite has long been associated with truth, clarity and honest communication. Traditionally, it’s thought to support us in expressing ourselves with confidence, while also encouraging us to really listen—both to others and to ourselves.

Sometimes, the hardest conversations aren’t the ones we have with other people.

They’re the ones we have in our own minds.

The moments where we question ourselves, overthink every decision, or wonder whether our thoughts and feelings are valid.

Whether you work with crystals as part of your spiritual practice or simply enjoy them as beautiful reminders, Sodalite invites us to slow down for a moment and ask ourselves a gentle question:

“Am I speaking from fear… or am I speaking from my truth?”

Many people like to keep Sodalite nearby when journalling, meditating or preparing for an important conversation. Others carry it in a pocket or bag as a quiet reminder to trust their own voice and communicate with honesty and kindness.

Of course, a crystal won’t have all the answers for us—but it can become a meaningful symbol of the qualities we’re trying to nurture within ourselves.

💙 This week’s affirmation:

“I express myself with honesty, kindness and confidence. My voice deserves to be heard.”

🌿 I’d love to hear from you…

Do you have a favourite crystal for communication, calm or clarity? Or is Sodalite one that’s already found its way into your collection?

Share your thoughts below—I always love hearing which crystals resonate most with you and why.

💜✨ Theme of the Week: Communication & Authentic Expression ✨💜

Have you ever walked away from a conversation wishing you’d said what you really meant?

Perhaps you kept the peace instead of speaking up. Maybe you smiled and said you were fine when you weren’t, or found yourself agreeing with something simply because it felt easier than disagreeing.

I think we’ve all been there.

Communicating authentically isn’t about always knowing the perfect words, or saying everything that comes into your mind. It’s about expressing yourself honestly, kindly and in a way that feels true to who you are.

Sometimes that means sharing your thoughts.

Sometimes it means setting a boundary.

Sometimes it means asking for help, saying “I don’t know,” or admitting that something isn’t working for you.

Being authentic doesn’t mean being loud. It simply means allowing your outside world to reflect what’s happening on the inside, rather than feeling like you have to wear a mask or tell people what you think they want to hear.

That can feel vulnerable, especially if you’ve spent years putting everyone else’s needs before your own. But every time you choose to speak with honesty and kindness, you’re building a stronger relationship with yourself as well as those around you.

Throughout this week, we’ll be exploring the power of authentic expression, looking at ways we can communicate with greater confidence while still remaining compassionate towards ourselves and others.

Because your thoughts matter.

Your feelings matter.

And your voice deserves to be heard.

💜 This week’s gentle reflection:

Is there something you’ve been wanting to say, either to yourself or to someone else, but haven’t quite found the courage to express yet?

You don’t have to act on it today. Sometimes simply acknowledging it is the first step.

🌿 I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. What does authentic communication mean to you, and when do you feel most able to be your true self?

💛✨ Understanding the Solar Plexus Chakra ✨💛

This week, as we’re exploring confidence and courage, it feels like the perfect time to talk about the Solar Plexus Chakra.

In many spiritual traditions, the Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with our sense of self, personal power and confidence. It’s often linked with the way we trust ourselves, make decisions and believe in our own abilities.

Whether you work with chakras or simply enjoy learning about different wellbeing practices, I think there’s something quite lovely about taking a moment to reflect on these qualities.

When we’re feeling balanced, we might find it easier to trust our instincts, set healthy boundaries and approach challenges with quiet confidence. We don’t necessarily become fearless, but we begin to believe that we can handle whatever comes our way.

Of course, life isn’t always that simple. We all have times when self-doubt creeps in, when our inner critic gets a little louder, or when we forget just how capable we really are. That’s part of being human.

For some people, spending a little time focusing on the Solar Plexus Chakra can be a gentle reminder to reconnect with that inner strength that’s always been there, even if it’s been hiding beneath stress, worry or uncertainty.

Some people enjoy supporting this practice through meditation, mindful breathing, yoga, journalling or simply carrying crystals that are traditionally associated with this chakra, such as Tiger’s Eye, Citrine or Yellow Calcite. Whether you believe in the energetic side of crystals or simply appreciate them as meaningful reminders, they can become lovely little prompts to pause and check in with yourself throughout the day.

💛 A gentle affirmation for this week:

“I trust myself. I honour my strengths, and I am capable of more than I realise.”

🌿 I’d love to hear from you…

When do you feel most confident and most like yourself? Is it when you’re out in nature, creating something, helping others, learning a new skill, or perhaps when you’re simply enjoying a quiet moment of peace?

💛✨ Confidence vs Self-Esteem… What’s the Difference? ✨💛

These are two words that are often used as though they mean the same thing, but they’re actually describing two quite different things.

Confidence is usually about what we believe we can do. It’s often linked to particular situations or skills, and it tends to grow as we gain experience. You might feel completely confident driving, speaking to clients, or baking your favourite cake, but feel really nervous about trying something you’ve never done before. That’s perfectly normal.

Self-esteem, however, runs a little deeper. It’s not about what you’re capable of doing—it’s about how you feel about yourself as a person. It’s the quiet belief that you’re worthy of kindness, respect and compassion, regardless of whether things go to plan.

That’s why it’s possible to appear incredibly confident on the outside while quietly struggling with self-esteem on the inside.

You might be brilliant at your job, always willing to help other people, or the person everyone turns to for advice… yet still find yourself questioning whether you’re good enough.

The lovely thing is that neither confidence nor self-esteem is fixed. They both grow over time, although often in different ways.

Confidence usually develops when we take small steps outside our comfort zone and realise we’re more capable than we first thought.

Self-esteem often grows when we begin to change the way we speak to ourselves. When we stop expecting perfection, celebrate the small wins, and offer ourselves the same understanding we’d so freely give to someone we care about.

Both journeys take time, and both deserve patience.

If you’ve been finding yourself doubting your abilities lately, perhaps today is a gentle reminder that your worth isn’t measured by how productive you are, how many things you achieve, or whether you get everything right.

Your worth has always been there.

🌿 Today’s gentle reflection:

When was the last time you acknowledged something you’d done well, instead of focusing on what you could have done better?

💛✨ Crystal of the Week: Tiger’s Eye ✨💛

This week, we’re shining a light on one of the most recognisable and well-loved crystals… Tiger’s Eye.

With its beautiful golden bands and silky shimmer, Tiger’s Eye has traditionally been associated with confidence, courage, motivation and inner strength. Many people choose to work with it when they’re stepping outside their comfort zone or navigating periods of change.

Traditionally, Tiger’s Eye is believed to support:

💛 Building confidence and self-belief
🦁 Finding the courage to face new challenges
✨ Encouraging focus and determination
⚖ Helping to bring balance during times of uncertainty
🌞 Supporting the Solar Plexus Chakra, often linked with personal power and self-worth

One of the things I love most about Tiger’s Eye is the reminder it offers.

Confidence isn’t about never feeling afraid.

It’s about recognising that fear and moving forward anyway.

Whether you’re starting something new, having a difficult conversation, setting a boundary, or taking a step towards a goal you’ve been putting off, courage often begins with one small decision to keep going.

Many people enjoy carrying Tiger’s Eye in a pocket or bag, placing it on their desk while they work, or simply taking a quiet moment to hold it while setting an intention for the day.

✨ This week’s affirmation:

“I trust myself. I believe in my abilities, and I have the courage to take the next step.”

💛 I’d love to know… Have you ever worked with Tiger’s Eye, or is there another crystal that helps you feel strong and confident?

🌿 Let’s inspire one another in the comments. Your favourite crystal or daily ritual might be exactly what someone else needs to discover today.
