👶💬 We’re delighted to support — an annual awareness campaign led by the Brazelton Centre UK, highlighting how babies communicate from the very beginning through their expressions, movements, behaviours and relationships.
The week encourages parents, carers and practitioners to better recognise and respond to babies’ cues, helping babies feel understood, connected and emotionally safe.

As part of Baby Communication Week, AiMH UK is sharing our resource “25 Things Every Baby Would Want You to Know” — a reflective resource designed to help adults think about the world from a baby’s perspective and the importance of feeling safe, seen, understood and connected within relationships. 💛

The day emphasizes that anyone acting as a parental figure or caregiver plays a critical role in a child's emotional, educational, and social development.

Ways you can mark Global Day of Parents;
- Dedicate the day to family activities, such as sharing a special meal or gathering together outdoors.
- Send thank-you messages, cards, or tokens of appreciation to parents and guardians
- Use social media to share stories, photos, and memories of your parents, celebrating their influence in your life and using relevant hashtags to join the global conversation.

Join our Co-Founder, , as she chats with .natalie.psychologist, a Perinatal and Early Years Psychologist about the differences between the Baby Blues and Postnatal Depression.

Whether you are a new parent or supporting one, understanding the shift in emotions after birth is vital. For Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, we are hosting a conversation to help distinguish between common transitions and deeper struggles.

What We are Covering:

The "Baby Blues": Why they should be temporary and when it is time to seek further support.

Beyond the Blues: Identifying Postnatal Depression, Postpartum Rage, and the "numbness" or symptoms often left out of the conversation.

Intrusive Thoughts: Understanding why they happen and how to manage them.

The Road to Recovery: Focussing on real, practical ways to start feeling like yourself again.

Taking place on 4th May at 2pm on the Facebook and Instagram Pages.
