This week at Red Rose, we were delighted to welcome back the very talented James Fry! 🎤

James entertained our residents with a fantastic selection of music, and it wasn’t long before everyone was tapping their toes, singing along and getting up to enjoy a dance! 💃🕺❤️

🌸🎀 What an Incredible Success! 🎀🌸

Today’s Breast Cancer Now Bake Sale at Red Rose was a huge success, and we are absolutely delighted to announce that we raised an incredible £405! 🧁💗

To make this amazing achievement even more special, Roger Daniel, CEO of Red Homes Healthcare, generously rounded the total up to an amazing £500! 🎉👏

Breast Cancer Now is such a worthy cause, supporting people affected by breast cancer and helping fund vital research, care and support. We are incredibly proud that our Red Rose Family has come together to raise such a fantastic amount. 💗

A massive thank you to our fabulous Activity Coordinators, Dwane and Charlotte, who organised the event. Their dedication and enthusiasm for their roles is truly tremendous, and they have worked so hard to make today such a success. 🌟

A special mention must also go to Kayleigh Wilson for her beautiful Mini Bakes cupcakes, they looked absolutely amazing and were certainly a big hit! 🧁😍

We would also like to say a huge thank you to all our residents, families, friends and staff who went out of their way to bake, donate cakes and support the event. Every single contribution made a difference. 💕

And a special shout-out to Sheena and her Domestic Team, who always go above and beyond and played their part in helping make today such a wonderful success. ❤️

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along, bought cakes and supported our fundraiser. Your generosity has helped us raise an amazing £500 for Breast Cancer Now, and we couldn’t have done it without you! 🎀🌸

🐍🐰 A Wonderful Visit from DB Animal Therapy! 🐢🦆

Last week, we were delighted to welcome the wonderful DB Animal Therapy back to Red Rose! 🥰
Our residents absolutely love these special visits, and there was plenty of excitement as everyone had the opportunity to meet, stroke and learn about a fantastic selection of animals.

This time, our visitors included snakes, a lizard, a tortoise, ducklings, mice and rabbits, certainly a wonderful variety! 🐍🦎🐢🐥🐭🐰

Animal therapy can bring so many benefits to our residents. Spending time with animals can provide comfort and companionship, encourage conversation and social interaction, stimulate memories and senses, and create feelings of happiness and calm. ❤️

It was lovely to see so many smiles, gentle interactions and lots of curiosity as our residents met their unusual visitors. We’re already looking forward to seeing what animals DB Animal Therapy brings along next time! 🥰🐾

✨ A huge thank you to Elena for her wonderful performance at our annual Seaside Day! ✨

We were delighted that Mirela's daughter, Elena, came along to perform for us. Her beautiful dancing truly captivated everyone, and we were blown away by her talent and grace.

Our residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed watching her perform, and she helped make our Seaside Day even more special.

🐴💙 A very special visitor at our Seaside Day... Cupcake the Pony! 💙🐴

One of the highlights of our annual Seaside Day was welcoming the beautiful Cupcake to Red Rose! She certainly stole plenty of hearts as she made her way around greeting our residents, families and visitors.

There were lots of smiles, gentle strokes and cuddles as everyone enjoyed spending time with such a calm and friendly pony. Animal visits always bring so much joy, encourage wonderful conversations and create special moments that our residents cherish.

It was lovely to see children, grandchildren and residents all coming together to meet Cupcake, making memories across the generations and adding even more magic to an already fantastic afternoon.

Thank you, Cupcake from Pet a Pony, for making our Seaside Day even more unforgettable, we can't wait to welcome you back again! 🥰🐴💙

☀️🏖️ Seaside Day 2026 at Red Rose! 🏖️☀️

What a fantastic day we had at our annual Seaside Day on Friday! From the moment the fish and chips were served to the final song of the afternoon, Red Rose was transformed into a traditional British seaside resort. 🌊🐚

Residents, families, children and grandchildren all came together to enjoy an afternoon full of fun, laughter and wonderful memories. There was live entertainment from the fabulous Jayne Darling, delicious ice creams, candy floss, sticks of rock, freshly made sugar doughnuts and refreshing mocktails, everything you could wish for on a trip to the seaside! 🍦🍩🍹🎶

The children had great fun playing on our little beach while residents enjoyed watching the smiles and laughter. We were also delighted to welcome Cupcake the pony, who was a huge hit with everyone. 🐴💙

And because no one should miss out on the fun, we took the seaside upstairs to our Poplar residents, complete with a paddling pool, sandpit, Hook-a-Duck and beach ball games, so they could enjoy their own authentic seaside experience too. 🏖️🪣🎣

It was a truly wonderful afternoon filled with music, dancing, laughter and togetherness. Keep an eye on our page throughout the day as we share lots more photos and highlights from this very special event! 📸💙
