🍰🎨 A Lovely Morning at Red Rose.

This morning, our residents baked a delicious Victoria sponge, enjoying every step from mixing the ingredients to admiring the finished cake. We then finished the morning with a relaxing colouring session, getting creative and spending time together.

Last week the new management team Mirela and Cami, were proud to present our first Staff Awards, recognising team members who go above and beyond.
Going forward, senior management and senior staff will nominate individuals each month for a special "thank you" and recognition of their contributions.
Celebrating good practice and showing appreciation for our amazing team remains a key priority.

🌹 Recognition for Outstanding Care 🌹

At Red Rose, we are incredibly proud of our team and the difference they make every day.

Following our recent residents' trip aboard the Newark Crusader boat, we received some wonderful feedback from a resident's daughter, praising the care, dedication, and support shown throughout the day.

A special thank you goes to Dwane, Activity Co-ordinator, and Marie Housekeeper who kindly volunteered for the day, whose commitment helped make the outing such a memorable experience for everyone involved. Their kindness, attention to detail, and focus on residents' wellbeing ensured that everyone enjoyed a safe, engaging, and enjoyable day on the water.

This morning, both Dwane and Marie were presented with a thank you card and a small token of appreciation in recognition of their outstanding work and dedication from the Management Team.

Well done, Dwane and Marie, you are a credit to Red Rose, and we are grateful for everything you do for our residents. ❤️

What a fabulous day we had on Tuesday at Southwell Races! 🏇✨

Our residents were treated like VIPs, enjoying a private table and a delicious afternoon tea while taking in all the excitement of the races.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and memorable moments throughout the day. One resident told us it was "a day I won't forget" and said how thankful she was for the experience.

Of course, no day at the races would be complete without a cheeky little bet or two! We're delighted to say that some of our residents even picked a few winners, which made the day even more exciting. 🎉

A wonderful time was had by all, and we would like to thank everyone at Southwell Races for making our visit so special.

Yesterday was a lovely busy day at Red Rose. Our residents made the most of the slightly cooler weather with a morning walk around the village, taking in the beautiful local scenery and stopping to see the horses along the way. It was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some fresh air, gentle exercise, and good company.

In the afternoon, we were delighted to welcome Beth and Goldie from Pets4Therapy. Goldie, the gentle greyhound, is always a firm favourite with our residents, who look forward to her regular visits. There were plenty of cuddles, smiles, and conversations as everyone spent time with Goldie, whose calm and friendly nature brings so much joy to those she meets.

What a wonderful time we had last week celebrating Grandchildren's Day!

It was heart warming to see the different generations spending quality time together, creating memories, and sharing stories. The children had endless fun getting involved in the activities, and judging by the smiles on everyone's faces, our residents enjoyed the day just as much!

We’ve been making the most of the slightly cooler weather and enjoying some lovely relaxed time chatting together in our beautiful garden on Farndon Walk.

The sunshine, fresh air, and peaceful surroundings made it the perfect morning, sharing stories about our favourite holiday destinations and treasured travel memories, and a few ice lollies helped keep everyone cool and smiling!

Last week, a few of our residents enjoyed a wonderful morning trip to Hardy’s Farm Shop. The outing gave everyone the chance to enjoy some fresh air, a gentle stroll, and lovely countryside surroundings while spending quality time together.

There were plenty of smiles and laughter throughout the visit as residents explored the shop, chatted together, and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. To finish off the morning, they treated themselves to delicious tea cakes and a comforting cup of tea, which was the perfect ending to a lovely day out. ☕🍰

We would like to invite all residents’ families to join us for our upcoming Residents Family Meeting on Thursday 2nd July 2026 at 3pm in the Conference Room at Red Rose. 🌹
