We took Phonak EON Sphere out to lunch!

We loved supporting our clients to put these hearing aids through their paces in a busy restaurant, comparing them with their own hearing aids over lunch.

Today is World Alzheimer's day. Did you know untreated hearing loss significantly increases the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia?
Why Does Hearing Loss Affect the Brain?
Cognitive Strain: When ears fail to send clear signals, the brain works much harder to decode sounds, leaving less energy for memory and thinking.
Brain Shrinkage: Less auditory input can accelerate the shrinkage of brain tissues in areas responsible for sound and memory.
Social Isolation: Trouble hearing often leads people to withdraw from conversations, reducing mental stimulation and increasing loneliness, which speeds up cognitive decline.
