Giving someone a personal send off - something unique to them - it’s a wonderful thing to do. We never want to say goodbye to those we love, but it is just that little bit easier for a family if they know they are following their loved one’s wishes. In this case, an upbeat service with lots of in jokes and personal touches.

I’m touched by these kind words of thanks from the family 💛.

I read this poem for a captain this week, a man who loved to be on the water. He lived all his life living by or on the sea… the perfect farewell reading 🌊🚢

I took myself on a visit to GreenAcres Rainford Park today, as I have the honour of leading a Celebration of Life service there in the near future. The beautiful service hall is surrounded by park and woodland with habitats for bees 🐝 , birds 🦆, even bats 🦇! A tranquil, picturesque setting for a final farewell.

My heart is very full reading this review. A family have taken the time to share their experience while still coming to terms with their own grief, it is incredibly kind. I’m happy to have given some comfort at such a difficult time. 💛 Thank you to this family for their lovely words 💛

Every crematorium is different, from beautiful stained glass to modern decor. This afternoon I’m at Memoria Flintshire Crematorium in Northop - a stunning chapel. With a warm welcome from the lovely Debbie and Aled, the chapel attendants, it is always a pleasure to lead a service here.
