A much-loved husband of Mary, a beloved dad of Margaret and Maureen, a devoted grandad, great grandad and great great grandad, a sadly missed brother and friend to many. Funeral service at Tom Ross & Sons’ Chapel, Orchard Road, Forres on Wednesday, 17th June at 11.00am, thereafter to Clovenside Cemetery. All friends respectfully invited. Family flowers only please. Suddenly, at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin, on Monday, 1st June 2026, after a short illness, Ronald (Ronnie) Ettles formerly of Kingsway, Forres and The Grove Care Home, Elgin, aged 80 years. Much loved dad of John and Fiona, father-in-law of Karen and Mark, devoted grandad of Josh and a good friend to many. Graveside service at Rafford Cemetery on Tuesday, 16th June at 11.30am. All friends respectfully invited. Anyone unable to attend the graveside service is welcome to join the family at the Carlton Hotel, Forres at 12.15pm. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, may be given at the service to the Scottish Association of Young Farmers.

Steff, Julie, Garry and family would like to thank everyone who joined them at Tom Ross and Sons to remember our beloved Mum (Joan) and celebrate her life. Also, extending our heartfelt thanks to everyone for all the cards, flowers, and messages of sympathy received at this sad and difficult time. A sincere thanks to Halde Pottinger for conducting a unique and meaningful service and also to Callum and all the team at Tom Ross and Sons for their outstanding care and professionalism. A special thank you also to the Forres neighbour care team for all their care, advice and support received. Finally, thanks to everyone who kindly donated. The amount of £500 will be shared equally between the Forres neighbourhood care team and Mikeysline.
