The Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative aims to improve early detection and diagnosis by offering free PSA blood tests to men aged between 40 and 80 years old.

On Thursday the 24th of September The Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative will be at AC Land Regeneration Livingston, Tuesday the 29th of September 2026 we will also be in Falkirk at Asda Distribution Centre.

Every man aged between 40 and 80 has access to a free PSA test—a simple blood test with no physical examination required. Don't miss the opportunity to get tested. Early detection saves lives.

From the 23rd of August until the 3rd of September The Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative has provided 3,450 free PSA tests for men aged 40 - 80 in Scotland.

We have opportunities for more tests coming up.
September 27th - Kirkcaldy, Raith Rovers FC
October 4th - Glasgow, Auldhousr Playing Fields
October 6th - Alloa, Cambus Bowling Club
October 10th - Newton Stewart, McMillan Hall

What an incredible achievement! 👏
Huge congratulations to our ambassador and driving force, Sir Chris Hoy, on the success of the second Tour de 4 on Saturday 7 September.

More than £2.5 million has been raised for charity, while once again shining a powerful spotlight on the realities of living with Stage 4 cancer.

At the Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative, we're proud to work with Sir Chris. Our goal is to provide free PSA tests to 25,000 men aged 40–80 across Scotland. We've already tested over 16,000 men, with fantastic uptake at events across the country, while also researching future diagnostic pathways to improve prostate cancer detection.

Well done to everyone who rode, donated, volunteered and cheered from the sidelines!

We have had a great 4 days back testing in the Ayrshire area. Nearly 2,000 men have been tested. We still have some appointments for Friday 28th at Hilton Hotel
Pheonix Crescent, Strathclyde Business Park.

🎥 Could one simple blood test make a difference?

Getting a PSA test is quick, straightforward and could provide important information about your prostate health.

This video follows one participant as he attends a Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative testing event, showing just how easy the process is. There's no physical examination—just a simple blood test that takes only a few minutes. (sped up but the full process shown)

Every eligible man has access to a free PSA test, and some participants may also be invited to provide an additional sample to support research into improving the early detection of prostate cancer.

Since launching in March 2026, the Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative has already tested more than 12,500 men as it works towards its goal of testing 25,000 men across Scotland.

Launched in March 2026, the Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative aims to test 25,000 men across Scotland, helping to detect prostate cancer earlier and improve outcomes for men nationwide.

The Initiative was launched by Sir Chris Hoy, Kenny Logan, Sir Tom Hunter and Professor Sir Chris Evans, who have united behind this ambitious programme to raise awareness and encourage men to know their prostate health.🤝
Since its launch, more than 12,500 men have already been tested—a fantastic milestone that demonstrates the strong support for this Initiative.

🔬 Every man aged between 40 and 80 has access to a free PSA test—a simple blood test with no physical examination required. In addition, some participants are invited to provide an extra sample to support research that could transform how prostate cancer is detected, making diagnosis earlier and more accurate in the future.

By taking part, men are not only taking an important step for their own health but also contributing to research that could benefit future generations.
