Every thought we have is creative so when beautiful peeps tell me they’re not creative - I know they are fabulous fibbers!

When we don’t allow ourselves creative time we’re missing out on a big dollop of fun and wellness.

We had a fabulous session on the Gupta App this Friday on the power of the Creative Juice for our mind body and soul.

We didn’t do this one but it is a goodie!

The science behind mind wandering for happiness is proven too.

So let your imagination run wild and have fun with this.

Take a wee moment and ask yourself a question then get your coloured pens and a big piece of paper get the music on and go.

Start doodling without any particular goal or direction, allowing your hand to freely express itself.

Embrace the joy of creating patterns, shapes, and characters, and let your mind wander as you explore the possibilities that unfold on the page and see if the answer to your question is revealed on paper or in your mind after doing so .

We ended our session with making a tag line up for the worst possible wellness advice🤣

Let’s hear your ones below 💜

What if your emotions weren’t the problem, but the guidance system?

That’s exactly what we’ll be exploring at our next Inner Light Book Circle as we bring The Astonishing Power of Emotions by Abraham Hicks to life the Joyworks way.

Together we’ll explore how emotions can help us move towards greater joy, clarity, wellbeing and self-understanding through reflection, creativity, connection, practical tools and, of course, plenty of laughter.

No need to have read the book. You’ll leave feeling as if you have.

We don’t just talk about ideas, we experience them. So rather than simply learning about emotional wellbeing, you’ll discover playful, memorable ways to put the wisdom into practice in everyday life.

We’ll finish with a beautiful guided relaxation, leaving you feeling lighter, calmer and more connected to yourself.

Only 12 places available. ✨🌈💜

Book via the website.

Around 1 in 4 adults in the UK report feeling lonely often, always, or at least some of the time and, get this, 1 in 10 workers feel lonely at work often or always, and nearly half experience it occasionally.

Loneliness is becoming a major workplace retention issue. Research found that 4 in 10 employees had considered leaving a job because of isolation and disconnection.

This June, it's both Loneliness Awareness Week and Men's Health Week, and I can't think of a better way to raise awareness and be part of the solution than by bringing Joyworks in.

We blend joy, fun, and laughter with nervous system regulation, self-compassion, and connection, with light bulb moments that stay long after the event is over.

When we shift our perception, our experience changes.

“We’d recommend Joyworks because it’s so different! They are so flexible in their approach able to tailor for your event. They were absolutely buzzing afterwards! Made a huge impact on our teams and people are still laughing about it!”

Mags Easton, Senior Change Introduction Manager Lloyds Banking Group at Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh Connect Conference.

The Joyworks 360 science-backed method cuts through stress, sparks creativity, and rebuilds the collective spirit your organisation depends on.

If you'd like to bring your teams closer to one another for good or join us in the Joy Academy Membership -your first week is free.

Let's create meaningful positive change together.

If you know my background you'll know that there's not much I don’t know about line learning!

However, it now takes me much longer to cement it in, which can be frustrating.

Additionally, the residual symptoms of serious illness, of stuttering when very tired, means there can be added anxiety that was never there before.

Therefore, packing in lots of rest before a big event is a non-negotiable.

Isn’t it wonderful how our body is always telling us what it needs?

So I started my keynote on Monday with, “I’m a wee bit nervous and oh how my brain loves that……”

One manager afterwards said she’s been using this neuroscience technique called affect labelling herself and feeling the benefits of doing it. She actually had been “naming it to tame it” before she entered the building. It’s something she’s been working on on her own.

It made me so happy that there’s now a shared language and she and her colleagues can support one another.

This week at work why don't you Name it to Tame It and open up the conversation.

Or join us this Thursday for our Inner Light Book Circle event "The Astonishing Power of Emotions" to go deeper with this technique and move up the Joy Scale while meeting our Joy Academy clan be made so at home and have a right good laugh too! :-)

Book via the website just 12 places.

Have a beautiful week dear ones.

Much love Sharon xx

"I can't imagine you doing anything silent!" :-)

Wrote Giles when I told him that I'd be offline till Tuesday.

"I love silence" I replied.

To be fair I get it. I'm usually the loudest in the room.

But the fuller life gets I crave it and so this is me carving it out.

Today I begin a four day silent retreat -so for once I've scheduled my posts :-)

It's a deeply restorative thing to do. Last time I did it I didn't want it to end.

What’s something about you that peeps would never expect about you?

P.s Giles who's doing the Joyworks rebrand tells me the new website may be up by time I come out of it!
VG VG YEH! Watch this space.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Much love Sharon xx

The reason I’m so good at Joyworks is because I’m an ex-TV presenter, actress, project manager, primary teacher, drama teacher, and theatre director.

That’s the transformational experience, slick presentation, and oodles of experiential creative ideas to make the learning stick sorted when working with large corporates and grassroots charities.

For decades, I was also an expert in anxiety and depression, so that’s the reason Joyworks is trauma-informed and based on sound scientific research on happiness and wellbeing.

Travelling to India back and four for five years on the trot, for six weeks at a time, before living there for a year, means I do my best to live an Ayurveda lifestyle.

My daily breath and meditation practices are my non-negotiables and keep me in alignment to deliver my best.

I can’t tell you how much I miss my yoga and can’t wait until this wee foot of mine is fully healed. 🤔

I don’t know how those of you who don’t have a regular practice of something that fills your own joy cup up make it through the day!😁

Spearheading the laughter therapy movement in Scotland also made me good at what I do. I’ve trained over 200 people across the globe in Laughter Yoga.

Many, I’m so proud of, have now started their own joy and creative happiness businesses, all while I held on to my own brand and method (and yes some of the offerings include Laughter Yoga within the method and in the signature event it’s peppered through - but the Joyworks way)

And my amazing team all have exceptional creative and facilitation backgrounds and are beautiful souls!

And lastly, in 2020, I overcame serious illness and lived to tell the tale.

When you’ve lived to tell the tale, you can’t help but share your learning with others.💜

That’s why neuroscience-backed tools and strategies that helped me are woven into the 360 Joyworks! Method.

It’s why I gave up my free Facebook community of sixteen years to focus on helping leaders and business owners coming back from illness, grief or are in chapters of change in a paid membership where those tools help change other’s lives too.

So, that’s me.🥰

Why are you so good at what you do?

Here’s to celebrating ourselves for when you celebrate, your brain releases happy chemicals oxytocin and dopamine that boost confidence, lower stress, and make good habits stick in this messy but wonderful world! 💜

“It was exactly what we wanted!”

Music to my ears this Bank Holiday Monday!

Suffice to say 240 Early Years Staff left on cloud nine, closer to one another, and armed with oodles of profound techniques to help navigate the unprecedented burnout that’s going on in their sector.

A keyworker shared how she realised she spends her whole day regulating nervous systems and didn’t think to do it for herself.

A headteacher shared that, after the Joyworks signature event in 2008, her parents’ group started taking responsibility for their own mental health. The impact it made on their long-term wellbeing was noted in the HMI school inspection later that year.😮

Which is exactly why, when the steering group looked at what had made the biggest difference to staff wellbeing across North Ayrshire Schools back then Joyworks was chosen as the main provider for today’s Health and Wellbeing Conference.

A grieving daughter shared that my personal story made her feel less alone and confident she will get through this time. It made her realise she needs to express her rage more and stay focused on getting professional help to do so. 💖

What a privilege it was to hold space for these absolute superhero keyworkers who spend their lives holding the wee ones who are our future💖

Very good Very good yeh !!🤣💜
