The reason I’m so good at Joyworks is because I’m an ex-TV presenter, actress, project manager, primary teacher, drama teacher, and theatre director.
That’s the transformational experience, slick presentation, and oodles of experiential creative ideas to make the learning stick sorted when working with large corporates and grassroots charities.
For decades, I was also an expert in anxiety and depression, so that’s the reason Joyworks is trauma-informed and based on sound scientific research on happiness and wellbeing.
Travelling to India back and four for five years on the trot, for six weeks at a time, before living there for a year, means I do my best to live an Ayurveda lifestyle.
My daily breath and meditation practices are my non-negotiables and keep me in alignment to deliver my best.
I can’t tell you how much I miss my yoga and can’t wait until this wee foot of mine is fully healed. 🤔
I don’t know how those of you who don’t have a regular practice of something that fills your own joy cup up make it through the day!😁
Spearheading the laughter therapy movement in Scotland also made me good at what I do. I’ve trained over 200 people across the globe in Laughter Yoga.
Many, I’m so proud of, have now started their own joy and creative happiness businesses, all while I held on to my own brand and method (and yes some of the offerings include Laughter Yoga within the method and in the signature event it’s peppered through - but the Joyworks way)
And my amazing team all have exceptional creative and facilitation backgrounds and are beautiful souls!
And lastly, in 2020, I overcame serious illness and lived to tell the tale.
When you’ve lived to tell the tale, you can’t help but share your learning with others.💜
That’s why neuroscience-backed tools and strategies that helped me are woven into the 360 Joyworks! Method.
It’s why I gave up my free Facebook community of sixteen years to focus on helping leaders and business owners coming back from illness, grief or are in chapters of change in a paid membership where those tools help change other’s lives too.
So, that’s me.🥰
Why are you so good at what you do?
Here’s to celebrating ourselves for when you celebrate, your brain releases happy chemicals oxytocin and dopamine that boost confidence, lower stress, and make good habits stick in this messy but wonderful world! 💜
