"I just wanted something I could actually stick to."

Before joining Fit For Purpose, Emma found it difficult to stay consistent.

She'd start something with good intentions, stick at it for a few weeks, then fall away from it again.

Sound familiar? 👀.

It wasn't a magic workout or a perfect diet that finally made the difference.

It was finding the right environment she enjoyed turning up to.

- A supportive community
- Coaching that made her feel comfortable and confident
- Training that fit into her life

Consistency is hard to build when your environment doesn't support it.

FFP has helped solve that problem for Emma 💪.

Since joining, she has now...

✅ Lost weight
✅ Become more toned
✅ Improved her sleep
✅ Built a consistent exercise routine

If you're looking for a friendly, ladies only gym where you'll feel supported every step of the way, drop me a message today to learn more about FFP 👍.

Steven Bartlett has been getting pelters for saying 3 glasses of wine ruined his life for 3 days.

First of all, Steven Bartlett is a whopper.

When he first started his podcast it was great.

But now all he cares about is selling products and getting clicks/attention.

2 weeks ago a clip went viral of him saying he hadn't drank in a year, then had 3 glasses of wine and it 'ruined his life for 3 days'.

Personally, I don't understand why this got the reaction it did.

Looking into it he actually said this 6 months ago, I don't know why it's started trending recently.

It obviously didn't 'ruin his life', he was probably exaggerating.

But if you have a drink for the first time in a year you probably will feel the effects of it.

He was also just sharing his own experience which he's entitlted to do.

I think it got the reaction it did because Steven Bartlett said it, which again is fair enough as he is a mad whopper.

And I think folk are getting a bit tired of all the online 'optimisation bro's', which is also fair enough.

“The closest thing we have to an anti ageing pill”.

Being stronger helps you...

- Stand up from sitting or get off the floor more easily

- Walk upstairs with less effort

- Carry shopping bags

- Holding & playing with your kids & grandkids

- Putting on coats & getting things out of cupboards

- Put on shoes and socks

- Being able to carry a suitcase and store it overhead on your own

Things we probably all take for granted but get harder with age.

When people exercise, they often do it as a means to burn calories.

When in reality how many calories you burn is genuinely the least interesting thing about exercise.

And lifting weights isn't just about having 'show muscles'.

It's about giving yourself the best chance of staying active, mobile, and healthy as you get older.

It's probably the closest thing we have to an anti-ageing pill.

And you don't need to spend hours in the gym every day.

I've always said that 2-4 workouts per week is the sweet spot for most people.

The article suggested around 45 minutes twice per week.

Or, if you prefer...

2 PT sessions at FFP 😉.

"I've started PT and really enjoying it, never thought I'd see the day!"

Laura joined FFP at the start of the year.

She was looking for motivation to lose a bit of weight, get stronger, and find classes that fit around the school run.

Like a lot of people, big gym classes made her feel like “just a number”.

And the thought of lifting weights alone in a gym felt intimidating.

Fast forward to now, Laura is…

✅ Feeling more motivated and energetic
✅ Getting stronger and moving more
✅ Paying more attention to nutrition
✅ Enjoying exercise instead of dreading it
✅ Has tried both our classes & Group PT sessions 👏

Here’s what she said about FFP...

“Andy is so patient and goes through every move with you. He keeps things simple while trying to push you on a bit at the same time. I feel a difference after every class!”

“I definitely feel a lot more motivated since starting the classes and just feel better all round. It has a knock on effect to the rest of your day.”

“Everyone is really friendly and supportive but there is never any pressure to do anything, just friendly faces waiting to say hello!”

Starting something new can feel daunting, but often the hardest part is just taking that first step.

If you’ve been thinking about getting started but keep putting it off, maybe this is your sign to finally give it a go 💪 .

Drop me a message today to chat about it.

“I had a gym membership but wasn’t taking it seriously…”

That’s exactly where a lot of people are before joining FFP.

In and out of routines.

A few good weeks.

Then motivation disappears.

Then so does all the momentum and progress you've built.

That's what Ashley's training felt like before starting.

Since joining in October, she’s built consistency through...

✅ Doing our small group PT sessions

✅ Sticking to set training times every week

✅ Having the structure & accountability FFP provides.

✅ Not just relying on motivation alone.

✅ Training in a small private studio instead of fighting for equipment in a busy gym.

And the results speak for themselves...

✔️ Lost inches
✔️ Got stronger
✔️ More confident in her clothes
✔️ Broke through a weight bracket she hadn’t been in since 2023.
✔️ No longer feels like she's constantly starting & stopping.

If you’ve been struggling to stay consistent on your own.

You probably don't need more motivation.

You probably just need the right support & environment.

Things I was more people knew about Health & Fitness.

The online health & wellness space can be an absolute riot at times.

These are some honest beliefs of mine that are more helpful than most of the stuff you’ll see online today...

👉🏼 You don't have to be a 'fitness' person to exercise.

It's fine to take your fitness very seriously.

But it's also fine to go to the gym without it being your whole life and personality.

👉🏼 More doesn't always equal better.

Doing more workouts doesn't guarantee better results. Quality & recovery matters.

👉🏼 Trying to 'optimise' can do more harm than good.

You don't need the 'perfect' anything, you just need something you can stick to that works.

👉🏼 Most fitness advice online confuses people.

Extreme claims, conflicting opinions, pitting stuff as 'good or bad' or 'this or that' like there's only one way to do something.

👉🏼 The supplement and wellness industry profit off your insecurities.

The amount of stuff aimed at women in particular is shocking.

Some supplements work, but most are unnecessary.

👉🏼 Influencers & Celebrities are ripping you off.

Sorry if that sounds harsh but I wish more people realised this and stopped listening to them.

They get paid to promote products. They're making money off you & couldn't give a f*ck whether the products actually work or not.

👉🏼 Sleep more and drink less alcohol.

I guarantee you'd feel 10 times better from doing this than from buying fancy supplements, getting b12 injections or jumping on the latest diet trend.

👉🏼 Ignore calories burned on fitness watches & cardio machines.

They're not accurate.

👉🏼 Lift weights to get stronger, do cardio to get fitter, do neither to burn calories.

If you're concerned about calories focus on your diet.

👉🏼 1200 calories is NOT a lot of food!

If you think you'd struggle to eat more than that, in most cases you are & you just don't realise.

Your calorie target should be based on your goals, bodyweight and activity levels (step count), unless you're very small and inactive your calorie target shouldn't be anywhere near 1200.

Struggle with your balance on split squats and lunges?

It's not just you.

They're unilateral exercises.

Meaning they work one leg, so it's normal for your balance to feel challenged when performing them.

It's also normal to have one leg stronger than the other, everyone has a more dominant side.

The best way to get better at these exercises and strengthen your less dominant side is practise 💪.

Don't rush through them, hold onto something if you need to, focus on control & good technique.

“Traditional gyms just didn’t work for me.”

One of our members, Laura, recently shared her experience since joining FFP.

- She struggled with confidence in gym environments.
- Felt overwhelmed walking into traditional gyms.
- Found it hard to stay consistent on her own.

She wanted something that felt welcoming, motivating, and something she could stick to long term, which led her to giving our 6 Week Trial a go.

Since joining, Laura has...

✅ Built confidence in the gym
✅ Started making healthier choices outside of sessions

Here's all you need to know about our classes!

Classes at FFP are 30 minute circuits designed to help you build strength, fitness, and stamina.

We do a mix of strength and cardio workouts to help you develop all round fitness.

You can come to as many classes as you want at any time, and they're only 30 minutes long making them easy to fit into your busy schedule.

Taking place in our private women's only studio, you'll work alongside other women who can relate to where you're at and how you're currently feeling.

With an average of 4 people per class & a maximum of 12, our small class sizes mean you'll never feel overwhelmed or lost in the crowd.

All classes are beginner friendly so you can work at your own pace without feeling silly. You'll feel challenged but you'll also feel supported & encouraged.

Whether you’re getting back into exercise or starting for the first time, classes at FFP are perfect if you want something that fits into your life without taking it over 💪.

I offer a 6 Week Trial, if you’d like to give it a go, DM me the word ‘CLASS’ and I’ll be in touch.
