🌸 **Introducing the Grantham Menopause Café** 🌸

We're delighted to share that **our very own Dr Angela Esiwe** has launched the **Grantham Menopause Café** – a free, welcoming monthly space for women at every stage of perimenopause and menopause.

Hosted by the Welby Group of Practices and Swingbridge Surgery with support from Lincolnshire Training Hub , each two-hour session includes:

💜 A 30-minute talk from a menopause specialist covering topics such as perimenopause, menopause, HRT, complementary therapies, nutrition, exercise, sleep, mood and lifestyle.

💜 Plenty of time to chat, share experiences and connect with others in a friendly, supportive and judgement-free environment.

📍 **Venue:** Grantham Squash Club, Harlaxton Road, Grantham, NG31 7JX

🕥 **Time:** 10:30am–12:30pm

**2026 Dates:**
• Saturday 8 August
• Saturday 12 September
• Saturday 10 October
• Saturday 12 December

✨ No booking required – simply drop in at any time during the session. Everyone is welcome, and free parking is available.

Willow Farm Equine Assisted Therapy CIC is offering free Equine Assisted Interaction/Therapy mornings for veterans.

A safe, relaxed and non-judgemental space to:
✨ Spend time with horses
✨ Support your wellbeing and mental health
✨ Take time for reflection and relaxation
✨ Meet others and build connections

No previous horse experience is needed — just a willingness to spend time around these amazing animals.

Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) and Voluntary Centre Services (VCS) are coming together to form a single, stronger infrastructure body; to be rebranded as CVS Lincolnshire💙

This move is designed to improve services, reduce duplication, and deliver greater value for local communities, partners and funders.🤝⚙💡💰

Having worked in close partnership for the last couple of years as Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Partnership (LCVP), on Wednesday 1st April 2026 we will formally bring LCVS and VCS together as CVS Lincolnshire, combining their experience, networks, and expertise to create a more resilient organisation focused on:
🔸Championing volunteering
🔹Supporting people in to volunteering
🔸Supporting charities and voluntary groups with good governance, policies and funding support
🔹Training, forums and networks which strengthen the sector
🔸Supporting social enterprises
🔹Supporting the Lincolnshire community transport consortium
🔸Providing social prescribing to support people with their health and wellbeing in their communities
🔹Supporting health and well being outcomes in communities
🔸Delivering projects which are identified with and for the communities of Lincolnshire

💊 Did you know? You may be able to get contraception directly from your local pharmacy.

The NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service allows you to access advice and certain types of contraception directly from a pharmacist – without needing to see a GP first.

Through participating pharmacies, you may be able to:
• Start the contraceptive pill
• Continue your regular oral contraception
• Access emergency contraception (the morning after pill)

The service is free on the NHS, and consultations take place privately with a trained pharmacist.

This service helps make contraception more accessible and convenient, and may also reduce the need for a GP appointment for routine contraceptive care.

"The NHS is ready to deliver this vital vaccination programme with appointments available at a number of community pharmacies from the end of July ahead of students starting university.
Those eligible will be contacted directly through the NHS App, by text and email and for those under 25 starting university for the first time they will be able to book their appointment directly with available pharmacies.

Meningitis can be life-threatening and we urge everyone eligible to book appointments for their MenB vaccines soon as bookings open in mid-July and to get both doses to ensure maximum protection".

Looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? Join our friendly team as a part-time Receptionist/Administrator (23.5 hours per week).

You’ll be supporting patients at the front desk, managing appointments, handling calls, and helping keep the practice running smoothly behind the scenes.
