Visiting Angels Lincolnshire

Visiting Angels Lincolnshire Premium home care service across Grantham, Newark-on-Trent, Melton Mowbray, Bourne, and nearby villages in Lincolnshire.

From companionship to daily support, we help people live well at home. Welcome to Visiting Angels Lincolnshire. As local residents of the area, we are delighted to offer a premium home care service to the people in our community. We provide a range of care, from companionship, to social care. Our aim is to support people to continue to stay in the comfort of their own home. We focus on including c

aregivers from your local area, so they easily become part of your community. This helps our caregivers understand your specific neighbourhood, and it also allows us to offer our services well, even in faraway places. An essential part of our service is to give you a choice of caregiver matched to your own specific care needs, hobbies, pastimes and interests. We introduce you to our matched Caregiver before home care starts, so that you can get to know them and decide if they are the right fit for you. It is important that long-term relationships are built so that you trust the Angels that you invite into your homes and enjoy being in their company.

🌟 Angel of the Month: A True Life Saver 🌟

This month, we are incredibly proud to recognise one of our outstanding caregivers as our Angel of the Month.

What began as a routine visit quickly became a life-saving intervention.

When our Angel arrived for her scheduled visit, she was unable to gain access to the client’s property. Trusting her instincts that something wasn’t right, she immediately contacted the office manager and raised her concerns. Working together, they acted quickly to gain access to the property and check on the client’s welfare.

Upon entering the home, our Angel found the client seriously unwell, suffering from a sudden and severe drop in blood sugar levels and unable to communicate effectively.

Remaining calm under pressure, she immediately called for paramedics and stayed by the client’s side, providing reassurance and support while waiting for emergency services to arrive. Throughout the incident, she remained composed, focused, and dedicated to ensuring the client received the urgent help they needed.

Thanks to her vigilance, quick thinking, and swift action, emergency services arrived promptly and were able to provide critical treatment. Her actions played a vital role in ensuring the client received the care they needed when every minute mattered.

This incident highlights the importance of compassion, attentiveness, and professionalism in care. Had our Angel not acted so quickly and trusted her instincts, the outcome could have been very different.

Today, we are delighted to recognise her dedication and commitment with our Angel of the Month Award. Her actions truly embody the values of Visiting Angels and demonstrate the extraordinary difference our caregivers make every day.

Please join us in congratulating our wonderful Angel on this well-deserved recognition. 💙

One of the first questions people ask when they meet our caregivers is:
"Why don't they wear uniforms?"
The answer is simple.
Many older adults want support, but they don't want to feel labelled as someone who "needs care". A traditional uniform can sometimes reinforce feelings of dependence and make social outings feel uncomfortable.
At Visiting Angels, our caregivers wear smart casual clothing because we believe care should promote dignity, independence and confidence.
Whether it's a trip to a garden centre, a coffee shop, or simply a walk around town, our clients can enjoy everyday activities without feeling defined by their care needs.
It's a small difference, but one that can have a big impact on wellbeing.
I've written a blog exploring why our no-uniform approach matters and how it helps older adults remain active, independent and connected to their communities.

☕💛 Supporting our Angels goes beyond the workplace.

Sometimes the best chats, development, and catch-ups happen over coffee in a relaxed setting. Because when our Angels feel supported, valued, and empowered, they can give the very best care.
