NHS England is rolling out HPV self-testing kits for women who have fallen behind on their cervical screening.

The free kits can be used at home, making it easier for more women to complete potentially lifesaving checks to help prevent cervical cancer.

Eligible women will start receiving invitations, so check your phone, your email or your post to see if you qualify.

If you're invited, you'll be able to order a free kit through the NHS App or your NHS online account, and get back on track with protecting yourself against cervical cancer.

Please be aware that on Wednesday 26th August we have a planned 2 hour period where the Health Centre will be without power.

Our doors will remain open but this will impact our phone lines and computer systems.

Our phone lines will open as normal at 8am and afternoon GP appointments will be available to book at 8.30am. For any queries, results please call after 11am or consider submitting a non urgent query via our Website.

Phone lines will go off at 9am.

Please avoid calling the surgery between 9am - 11am as we will be limited to one open telephone line only.

If you have an issue that will not wait until we are fully operational again at 11am, Please Call 111 and for Medical Emergencies Call 999.

We will update this post on the day if we experience any delays

For 20 years, NHS bowel screening has been helping find bowel cancer early, often before symptoms appear.

Bowel screening is a test you do at home. It’s offered to people aged between 50 and 74. When your kit arrives, complete and return it. Don’t put it off.
