Passion For Support are an adult home care company serving the Calderdale area. We know how rewarding caring can be, but also how exhausting, time consuming and sometimes over whelming. Who cares for you when you desperately need a break or some time of your own?

Passion For Support can help by providing you with fully trained, experienced and compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PAs). Our PAs can visit your home and look after the person you care for to allow you to take time off to do the things you’d like to do. Or our PAs can take the person you care for on outings, social engagements or to appointments leaving you to relax and enjoy time by yourself in your own home.

Are you an unpaid carer without even knowing it?

It’s Carers Week – an opportunity to help people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.

An ‘unpaid carer’ is someone who cares or provides unpaid support to family or friends outside of an employment contract, regardless of any benefits or allowances claimed.

We’re proud to work in partnership with Carers Count Calderdale to provide help to unpaid carers in Calderdale who are 18 and over.

From health and wellbeing support to training and a range of support groups and social activities, the free service helps to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of local carers.

Passion For Support, established in 2009, is an independently owned adult home care company based in Greetland. We visit adults in their own homes and accompany them in their communities.

Getting older has its challenges and can be an unsettling time for an individual and their family. One benefit of care at home is the ability to maintain independence and to continue living in familiar, comfortable surroundings.

We work closely with our customers and their loved ones to personalise our services to ensure we meet the specific requirements that enable them to maintain their independence and give them and their family the comfort of knowing that someone is watching out for them, but not cramping their style.

Passion For Support can provide help to get up and go to bed, washing, dressing, meals, medication and/or social support to attend appointments, clubs, activities or excursions.

This week is Dementia Action Week which runs from 18-24 May. If you or someone you know is living with dementia, Passion For Support has availability to provide home care which supports not only the person with dementia but those that live with them also.

This week is Dementia Action Week 💙

Are you a family member or care giver of loved ones living with Dementia? Do you know about Safe and Found Online?

The online platform allows users to create a profile which stores vital information such as photographs and medication required and is immediately accessible to the police in the event they go missing.

It is a digital version of the Herbert Protocol and can be regularly updated, increasing the chances of a successful search.

Dementia Action Week runs from 18-24 May and is a chance to raise awareness, support people living with dementia, and focus on protecting our brain health.

Although age is the biggest risk factor, dementia is not an inevitable part of ageing. If you or someone you know is living with dementia, support is available through the local dementia service, Calderdale Dementia Hub.
