y years with his father-in-law, Mr Geoffrey Brewster who in turn took over the business from his father-in-law Mr Hubert Swainson, who built up the successful company that continues to this day. Mr Hubert Swainson had come into the business after service in the RAF during World War II and brought his dedication and drive, insisting on the highest standards of work and ethical considerations. Hubert Swainson worked alongside his father, Mr Ernest Swainson, who originally established the business as a cabinetmaker, carpenter and funeral director.
