Every so often, someone captures Clayton Wood in a way that perfectly reflects what this special place means to so many people.

A huge thank you to Grave Rob for creating this beautiful video. It reminds us why preserving the natural beauty of Clayton Wood is so important and why so many families choose a natural burial for their loved ones.

We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we did.

We've recently given our Oak Hall a fresh coat of natural oak oil, and we're so pleased with the transformation.

Not only has it brought out the beautiful natural grain and colour of the timber, but it will also help protect and preserve the wood for years to come.

We hope you love the refreshed look as much as we do.

As dusk falls, discover the fascinating world of bats with an evening led by experienced local bat experts.

The evening will begin with an introduction to bats, including the different species found here in the UK, before we head out into the burial ground as darkness falls to see (and hear!) them in their natural habitat.

Using specialist bat detectors, you'll learn how these amazing devices work and how they allow us to listen to the ultrasonic calls that bats use to navigate and hunt. We'll have detectors available for you to use throughout the walk, making this a fantastic opportunity to experience these incredible creatures up close.

Friday 28th August
Walk starts at 7:30pm

The theme for all our support groups this month is 'The healing power of baking'
Nigella Lawson says, "The food we eat connects us so deeply to those we love and, perhaps, especially so when they are no longer with us", and we will be sharing one of her delicious recipes along with some other ideas for home-bakes at all of our support groups during August.

Whether you are recently bereaved, or struggling with an older loss, come along and have a chat over a cuppa and a biscuit with people who have some understanding of what you are going through.
This month, you will also have the opportunity to create your own Comfort Stone - something truly unique and personal to you.
You can use it as a 'pocket anchor' during the day, or as a tool to assist bedtime 'release' meditation and Tiff will share how you can use your new Comfort Stone to quiet your mind and steady your body.

Just a quick clarification regarding our Bereavement Support Group.

Please note that the group takes place on the last Thursday of each month, not the last Friday as incorrectly stated on some of our posters.

We apologise for any confusion this may have caused and look forward to welcoming everyone to our next session on Thursday, 30th July.

If you have any questions or would like more information about the group, please don't hesitate to contact the office.
