IT’S FRIDAY! 🙌

And with the weekend ahead, we’ve got a little challenge for you…
〰️ Get outside
〰️ Go for a walk
〰️ Explore somewhere local
〰️ Do something active with family or friends
〰️ Get back to something you enjoy
〰️ And, wherever you can, break up those long periods of sitting!

It doesn’t need to be a workout. It doesn’t need to be complicated. Just find a way to move a little more this weekend.

We’re getting ready for World PT Day on 8 September, when this year’s campaign will focus on the important role of physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic care and physical activity in cardiovascular health and stroke.

So let’s start with one simple message:
Move more. Feel better. Live better. ❤️

What are you doing to get moving this weekend?

Where do we focus during a lymphatic drainage massage? 💧

Lymphatic drainage massage uses gentle, rhythmic movements to encourage the natural movement of lymph fluid through the body.
Unlike a traditional massage, the pressure is light and the treatment follows the pathways of the lymphatic system. Carrie and Nilnate will typically work through key areas including:

💧 Neck & collarbones – an important starting area when preparing the lymphatic pathways.
💧 Chest & upper body – working gently towards the areas where lymph drains.
💧 Armpits (axillary area) – an important group of lymph nodes involved in drainage from the upper body.
💧 Abdomen – gentle movements can be used to encourage lymphatic flow through the trunk.
💧 Groin (inguinal area) – another major group of lymph nodes and an important area when working with the lower body.
💧 Legs & arms – using light, flowing techniques to encourage movement of lymph fluid towards the relevant lymphatic drainage areas.

The treatment is deliberately gentle and rhythmic, making it a very different experience from Sports Massage or deeper tissue work.
If you’re looking for a treatment that focuses on gentle movement, relaxation and supporting your body’s natural lymphatic system, lymphatic drainage could be worth exploring.

Feel Good Friday 🤍

Nilnate is usually the one making sure everyone else is looked after… so a little shoulder massage from Nat, a mini moment to relax between clients, and a well-earned reminder that the person who’s always looking after everyone else needs looking after too.

A little TLC goes a long way.. Happy Feel Good Friday!

What does lymphatic drainage feel like?
Gentle🤍rhythmic🤍calming🤍soothing🤍

Think of your lymphatic system as your body’s internal drainage system. And unlike blood circulation, it doesn’t have a heart pumping it around 〰️ movement and muscle contractions help keep it moving.

That’s where lymphatic drainage techniques come in: gentle, rhythmic movements are used to encourage the natural movement of lymph fluid.

Book in with Nilnate or Carrie to experience the benefits for yourself 🤍

Whether you’re navigating menopause, recovering post-surgery (with your healthcare team’s approval), or dealing with travel-related swelling, a gentle lymphatic drainage massage can help support your body’s natural fluid movement.

Watch Carrie use slow, rhythmic techniques designed to encourage lymphatic flow and help reduce feelings of puffiness and heaviness.
Many clients leave their session feeling:
〰️ Lighter
〰️ Less bloated
〰️ More comfortable in their body
〰️ Deeply relaxed

Your lymphatic system plays an important role in moving excess fluid and supporting your body’s natural cleansing processes, but it relies on movement and gentle stimulation to do its job effectively.

If you’ve been feeling swollen, sluggish, or puffy, lymphatic drainage may be a supportive addition to your wellness routine.

Ready to feel lighter?
Book your lymphatic drainage massage with Carrie or Nilnate and discover how gentle treatment can leave you feeling refreshed from the inside out.

When side bending is limited, your body may compensate by overusing other movements.

This can contribute to:
〰️Increased stress
〰️Less efficient movement
〰️Ongoing discomfort

Solution: Isometric exercises.
Muscle activation with minimal movement 🤍 helps build confidence and reintroduce movement gradually.

Our massage therapist Alison, demonstrates three ways to approach a side bend.
Standing, lying down (feels so good!) or add resistance with a stretchy band tied to a door or something secure.

Try it and let us know how it feels for you 🤍
