Card of the Day: Giving and Receiving

Harmony, peace, flow and generosity are being offered to you. You are in a position to give something back, and you are gently reminded that this helps to keep you in the flow of fair exchange with the Universe. You have received many blessings in your life, and you feel genuine gratitude for them. When you are in the energy of gratitude, the flow opens further, and you may find you are able to help others even more clearly when your heart guides you.

Giving does not need to be financial. It can be a smile, a kind word, time, or a simple good deed. You are likely to gain just as much, if not more, than the recipient through the feeling of contributing. Good karma naturally flows from this place. It is important to check that your intention comes from service rather than ego, as giving from a need for recognition can leave the moment feeling empty. A truly generous heart keeps their good deeds private, needing no validation or praise.
You may find that you have the resources to support someone financially, perhaps through a loan or a gift. Equally, you may find yourself on the receiving end of another person’s generosity in some form.

Card of the Day: The Delusion of Wealth

In a broad and positive message, this card is about you creating a solid financial foundation by being a good custodian of the money and flow that you have coming into your life. Keeping an eye on the future and considering investments, savings, and future security are all aspects of the energy that this card brings forth into a reading.

If you are struggling financially, this card reminds you to be more careful with the income you do have. Give gratitude for it as much as you can and visualise it growing. Be responsible and don’t spend what you don’t have to at this time, and get some good advice should you need it.

There is also a message here about fear of loss of financial security. Keeping a stranglehold on the funds you do have means you may not be allowing yourself to live a comfortable life. Hoarding your wealth and being mean to yourself and those around you can be a result of this fear. While you focus on this, you can unintentionally create a self-fulfilling prophecy where you pinch off your flow in some ways.

Money is energy, and it is a stream that we can line up with by choice. When you allow your material wealth to define you, you are entering into a delusion. You may find that you are robbing yourself of the things that money cannot buy, such as a deeper connection with those you love. By having a focus only on the importance of money and amassing more, you are missing the goodness and balance in life.
Income is important, but there is much in life that money cannot buy, and this card is calling for you to find a balance here.

The roots are there but are poorly planted, and even the tree that is managing to stand tall may not do so for long if the foundation is not filled in. The card is about delusion and things not appearing the way they seem. But also about doing the work and making sure that you come from a grounded and well-supported place in your own mind and heart.

Card of the Day: Earth Star Chakra

Also known as the Super Root Chakra, this energy centre is located around 8 to 12 inches below your feet, in line with your spine, and connects you directly to Gaia.
The Merkabah forms the basis of this design, bringing the energy of creation and infinity to the card. It is a beautiful depiction of the wholeness, diversity and deep interconnection of our beloved planet Earth and all the life she sustains, including us.

The Merkabah is a three dimensional sacred geometrical shape whose name translates into three words. Mer means light, Ka means spirit, and Ba means body. Light. Spirit. Body.

One of the primary functions of this chakra is to co ordinate your grounding cord, the energetic cord that leads to the very centre of the Earth.
The DNA strands woven into the design remind us of our origins, of evolution, and of the importance of releasing inherited and ancestral patterns and beliefs that no longer serve us or our journey. History is held within this chakra, along with a record of karmic lessons learned across all incarnations. Clearing this chakra can help you to transcend old and stuck patterns, karma and repeated lessons as part of your ongoing evolution and ascension. You can support the clearing of this chakra by anointing the balls of your feet with essential oils. Always use a carrier oil and never apply essential oils directly to the skin.

There is a Chinese meridian point in this area known as Bubbling Spring. It is the first point on the kidney meridian and, when activated, strengthens your chi or life force energy while helping to open and clear the Earth Star Chakra.
When grounding, visualise energy flowing from the soles of your feet, down through this chakra and into the Earth. Grounding is especially powerful when done outdoors with bare feet and only takes a moment or two. Clicking your fingers around your aura and asking all parts of you to come fully into the now can also support this process.

When this chakra is clear and balanced, you feel grounded, present and empowered in your human life. Feelings of disconnection, scattering, anxiety, distraction and overwhelm can indicate that this energy centre is blocked or out of balance.

Card 1: The Price of Ego

The bridge between situations and relationships can quickly become broken. As pieces begin to crack, gaps and weaknesses appear, and further damage becomes more likely as things fall into disrepair.

This card represents a situation rooted in conflict, hostility and drama. Damage is being done through words and actions, and without change, even more damage may occur. However, the bridge still stands, and there may still be an opportunity for repair.

It is human nature to feel that someone else is entirely to blame. That may even be true. Still, this card asks you not to allow ego to take over or cling to the need to be right. Be honest with yourself and ask whether there is a way to stop further damage or even begin repair work.

If the emotional cost to you is too high, stepping back gracefully may be the wisest choice. Send love and light into the situation and ask that the highest good for all concerned unfolds.

You may win the battle of being right, but it could feel hollow if you lose something truly important in the process. A shift in intention now may create healing and positive change in the future. This card can even be an invitation to apologise and a reminder that not every battle is worth the cost.

Card 2: Heart Chakra

This chakra is situated in the chest and is associated with love for self and others, healing and joy.

When emotional pain is experienced, this chakra can begin to close as a form of protection. However, a closed heart can also hold tightly onto the energy of what hurt you, creating resistance to healing, releasing and moving forward.

To gently open this chakra, begin with awareness. Forgiveness of yourself and others may be needed. Forgiveness does not let others off the hook, it frees you from the past.

Gratitude is also deeply healing here. It sends a vibration to The Universe aligned with “I AM blessed,” which naturally attracts more blessings into your life. A gratitude journal can be a beautiful place to begin.

The six-pointed star in this card represents the union of masculine and feminine energy, as well as energy flowing both upwards and downwards. It reminds you to stay balanced and in flow.

The hearts facing both inward and outward reflect the law of “As Within, So Without.” The love you cultivate within yourself shapes what you attract into your life.

Do you speak to yourself with kindness?
Do you nurture yourself and your body with love?

Practising self-love sends a powerful message to The Universe that you are worthy of receiving love and loving experiences.

Card of the Day: Light After Dark

This is a time of obstacles and challenges, and you may be feeling battered, bruised and a bit sorry for yourself. This is a human reaction, and it happens to us all, but you are encouraged to allow yourself time to process, but not time to wallow and get stuck in this story. Life is sometimes hard, be gentle to yourself. Remember, you will know when it is time to rise up again, and this card can be an indication of that and better times ahead.

You can choose to focus on the dark or the light, but know that whatever you give your attention to will expand and grow. This may be a testing time, but it is also a time when you can experience growth and shifts in your thoughts, consciousness and life. Remember who you are, and remember that in a darkened room, all you have to do is open the door to the light, and it pours in. Remember your own inner light, who you really are and what you stand for.

Can you shine your light on a current situation and bring healing, compassion and hope? Perhaps you could illuminate this for other people involved and bring a much-needed positive perspective.

Don’t get dragged into the drama of situations and other people’s stuff. Step back, find your centre and review the evidence from your past. It will tell you that you have evolved through struggles before and gained both wisdom and experience. This is the time to apply both of these qualities and keep moving forwards with the hope, faith and trust that things will improve.

Make sure that you reach out as well as within if you need to. Advice and support could be sought from conscious friends or family or from professionals and agencies that are specialised in the situation you need help with.
