Its always a privilege for me to take any floral arrangements my family's kindly donate after a funeral service to The Flower Lounge at PossAbilities on Derby Street in Heywood. Seeing the service users have so much fun breaking the flowers down and making their own arrangements is so lovely.

Beloved son of the late Sidney and the late Alice, dear brother of David, much loved cousin of Wendy, and as a well respected professional artist, Steven will be sadly missed by friends and colleagues in the Art world.

Funeral service to take place at Heywood Cemetery Chapel on Tuesday 16th June 2026 at 1pm, followed by interment at Heywood Cemetery thereafter.

A much loved and devoted husband of Alice, a loving step dad, grandad and great grandad, well respected colleague, and a good friend to many.

Doug was instrumental in setting up Little Monkeys Charity Shop in Heywood, and will also be missed by all the volunteers past and present.

Mind’s experts are the heart of human care for mental health, treating people as individuals, not statistics and seeing a person, where others might just see a patient. They know their communities, know their needs and go the extra mile to deliver quality care, when people need it most.
