You may have seen the recent media coverage regarding Robert Bush from Legacy Independent Funeral Directors in Hull.

This has understandably resulted in various campaigns to regulate the Funeral Profession across the country.

I would like to reassure the families I care for in our local community of Heywood and surrounding areas, that I am a proud member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD).

As an NAFD member, I am regularly inspected, adhere to a strict Code of Practice, and am committed to maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards in funeral care. Every loved one entrusted in to my care is treated with the utmost dignity, respect, and compassion, and every family can have confidence that they are receiving the highest standard of service and support.

I am a fully qualified Funeral Director obtaining a Level 4 Higher Education Diploma in Funeral Directing with the NAFD.

Providing the best care for the deceased and their loved ones is genuinely at the heart of everything I do, and I will remain dedicated to upholding the standards that families rightly expect and deserve.

Every staff member at Mitchell Funeral Services fully support the necessary change and need for Independent Statutory Regulation of all Funeral Directors.

My sincere thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected in Hull, and praise their courage, determination, and their fight to bring this man to justice.
