💉 Flu & COVID Vaccination Clinics – This weekend.

We look forward to seeing everyone who has booked their flu and COVID vaccinations this weekend!

This is our first vaccination weekend. We are fully booked for Saturday and have limited slots still available for Sunday. We are expecting very busy clinics, with around 2,000 patients booked in each day. Our teams will be working hard to vaccinate everyone as efficiently and safely as possible. We will not be able to vaccinate walk in patients. Please book your appointment through the link sent to you or call the practice.

📍 IMPORTANT: Before setting off, please check your appointment confirmation and make sure you attend the correct site.

Saturday: Birchwood Medical Practice, Horley

Today we're celebrating pharmacists and pharmacy teams for the important role they play in supporting patients every day.

Pharmacists can offer advice and treatment for many common conditions, support people with long-term conditions and help ensure medicines are used safely.

In primary care, pharmacists are called 'clinical pharmacists'. They work closely with GP's, nurses, community pharmacists and other health care professionals to ensure you get the most benefit from your medicines in order to improve your overall health. They can often manage medication related issues independently and provide expert advice. You may also be contacted by your clinical pharmacist for an annual review. The pharmacy team is also supported by pharmacy technicians who help to ensure your medical notes are reflective of any hospital input you may have had.

Community pharmacies now offer NHS services including:

✔️ Contraception services
✔️ Advice on minor illnesses
