EPISODE 1 — THE CHANGE & HOW I FELT, in and out of a comfort zone 🤍

Recently, I stepped outside of my comfort zone.

And if I’m honest, it didn’t immediately feel empowering, exciting or like one of those “everything happens for a reason” moments.

It felt uncomfortable.

There was doubt.
There was uncertainty.
There was overthinking.
And definitely a few moments of “have I actually made the right decision?”

But sometimes we only talk about the outcome of change, the confidence, the growth and the exciting new chapter.

We don’t always talk about what happens immediately after you make the decision.

That messy middle.

The bit where you’ve left what was familiar, but you haven’t quite settled into what comes next.

For me, this change happened because I knew that staying comfortable wasn’t necessarily the same as being happy, fulfilled or moving forward.

And I think that’s something that applies to our health and wellbeing too.

Sometimes we know something needs to change, but changing it means stepping away from what we know.

A different relationship with food.
Moving your body differently.
Prioritising rest.
Setting boundaries.
Asking for support.
Changing your routine.
Or simply admitting that what worked for you once… doesn’t work for you anymore.

And that can feel really uncomfortable.

But uncomfortable doesn’t always mean wrong.

Sometimes it means new. 🌿

So this is Episode 1 of comfort zones, the honest version.

How I felt as a direct result of making that change, why I decided it needed to happen, and what it actually feels like when you step away from something familiar.

Because I’m not sharing this from the other side with a perfectly tied-up ending.

I’m sharing it while I’m in it.

And maybe that’s the most honest part of all. 🤍

Movement motivation isn't something you either have or you don't. It's something we build. 🌿

New episode of Integrated Her is live, and it's not about workouts. It's about the thing underneath them: why the "perfect" programme never sticks, and what actually does.

I'll be honest with you, a lot of coaches call themselves "holistic" and then hand you a generic training plan anyway. That's not what I do. My job isn't to prescribe you a workout. It's to help you find the movement that's genuinely yours, whether that's your first proper walk in months, getting back into something you used to love, or finally walking into a gym on your own terms.

We start with steps. Always. Then we build from there, individually, at your pace, around your actual life.

Because consistency beats intensity every single time. A 20-minute walk you do for a year will always outperform a demanding programme you quit in three weeks.

If exercise has always felt like something you fail at rather than something that belongs to you, this one's for you.

I gained 2kg overnight. And no… I didn’t gain 2kg of fat. 🤍

Yesterday I celebrated my mam’s birthday. 🎂

There were carbs.
There was a takeaway.
I ate later than usual.
I enjoyed myself.
And I had a bloody lovely time. 🥰

This morning, the scales were 2kg higher

As a women’s nutrition coach, I want you to know that this is exactly why I don’t want you panicking over one weigh-in.

That 2kg is not 2kg of body fat.

After a higher-carb meal, your body stores more glycogen, and glycogen is stored alongside water. Add in more sodium from a takeaway, more food still physically being digested, eating later than usual and normal fluctuations in hydration, hormones and bowel contents… and the scales can temporarily jump.

The scale measures your total body weight, not just body fat.

So rather than waking up thinking “I’ve ruined everything”, I’m looking at the bigger picture.

I had a life.
I celebrated someone I love.
I ate foods I enjoyed.
I didn’t “fall off the wagon”.
And I don’t need to compensate for it today.

I simply get back to my normal routine. 💕

This is why within The Subtle Glow Method, we focus on trends, behaviours and the bigger picture, not letting one number dictate how you feel about yourself or your progress.

One higher weigh-in doesn’t erase your progress.
And one lower weigh-in doesn’t create it either.

Your body is not a calculator. It’s a living, changing human body. ✨

✨ The Subtle Glow Method has had a little movement shift… quite literally. ✨

The more I’ve learnt from being coached myself, and the more conversations I’ve had with women about what they actually want for their health and wellbeing, the more I’ve realised:
Women don’t necessarily need another rigid, structured plan.

They don’t need to be micromanaged in their daily lives. They want choice, education and the why, so they can build the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions for themselves.
The women I coach want more than a diet and fitness plan.

They want to navigate their way towards self-confidence, better wellbeing and a more enriched life. 🤍
And I don’t aim to keep clients forever. I want to see you blossom, glow and take control of your future, with the knowledge and confidence to eventually feel like you don’t need me anymore.
My passions within The Subtle Glow Method are:
🌿 Nutrition education
🧠 Behaviour change
✨ Wellness
🚶‍♀️ Movement motivation
💗 Finding solutions that work for you

Whether you want support with:
• Weight loss
• Nutritional knowledge
• Increasing daily activity
• Wanting to move more but anxiety, worry or uncertainty holds you back
• Burnout and feeling overwhelmed
• Having spent so long prioritising others that you’ve neglected yourself
• Building inner confidence
• Understanding your body and mind
• Or simply wanting more from your life and wellbeing
You don’t have to fit into a programme.
The programme fits around you.

I work with you individually, focusing on your specific needs, barriers and goals, helping you find sustainable solutions without rigid rules, guilt or an all-or-nothing mentality.

Because I’m not here to tell you how to live your life.
I’m here to help you understand yourself enough to live it fully. ✨

Holistic nutrition. Wellness. Movement motivation. Behaviour change.

Supporting women to feel confident, energised and in control of their health and wellbeing.
Leaving you glowing from the inside. 🌸

Supplement series : episode 2!

Why do I recommend vitamin D as a women’s health coach? ☀️

Vitamin D isn’t just about bone health. It plays a role in immune function, muscle health, mood and overall wellbeing, making it an important nutrient to consider throughout a woman’s life.

For women, vitamin D is particularly relevant because of its relationship with bone health and calcium absorption, alongside the wider role it plays in supporting our bodies through different stages of life.

Here in the UK, getting enough vitamin D from sunlight can be challenging, particularly during the autumn and winter months, which is why supplementation is often recommended.

It’s one of those simple foundations that can easily be overlooked when we’re focusing on the big things.

Women’s health is built from the basics too. ✨

Always seek personalised advice if you’re unsure whether supplementation is appropriate for you.

I used to be dead against GLP-1s

I used to view them as “cheating”.

And while I still have concerns about GLP-1s becoming the next big trend, particularly when they’re being used for weight loss without appropriate medical supervision, my perspective has changed.

Because… I get it.

I’ve been the woman who has looked at the price of GLP-1s.
I’ve looked into weight loss surgery.
I’ve considered gastric balloons.
I’ve searched for anything that might finally make weight loss feel easier.

But there was a reason I never truly believed those options would be the long-term answer.

It wasn’t because these interventions can’t have a place.
It was because I could see the missing piece:

Support. Education. Understanding.

You can change your appetite without necessarily changing your relationship with food.
You can lose weight without understanding how to nourish yourself.
And you can have a medical intervention without having someone alongside you helping you understand what happens before, during and after it.

That’s where I believe coaching can play a role.

I don’t believe in shaming women for the tools they choose to support their health and choose to educate clients instead.

And I certainly don’t believe you should be turned away from holistic health and wellbeing support because you’re using a GLP-1.

Within The Subtle Glow Method, you won’t be judged for the route you’ve taken.

Whether you’re using a GLP-1, have had weight loss surgery, are navigating perimenopause, struggling with your relationship with food, or simply want to feel healthier and more connected to your body, you deserve education, support and someone in your corner.

Because my goal isn’t to tell you what you should be doing.

It’s to help you understand your body, build sustainable habits, nourish yourself, move in a way that feels good, and make informed choices that support your health and wellbeing.

Health support shouldn’t be reserved for women who fit into one particular box.

That’s exactly why I created The Subtle Glow Method. ✨

GLP-1 medication should always be prescribed and medically monitored appropriately. Coaching complements medical care; it doesn’t replace it.

Today I’m starting my own weight loss phase, changing up my workout split and I’ve tweaked some elements to fit my lifestyle and expectations of myself instead of crashing and burning.

This phase I really want to work on my journalling, breath work and setting boundaries for myself as I often find prioritising others leaves me neglecting myself.

What would your physical and well-being goals be if you could pick them today and start working on them?
