Mike Toon, our Financial Director is retiring at the end of the day after a dedicated 42 years.

For years, Mike has looked at a spreadsheet the way most people look at a beautiful sunset. He’s even been known to sneak in a bit of Excel when Debs has forbidden him to, which somehow made it all the more exciting for him.

But as much as Mike loves a perfectly balanced spreadsheet, we all know his real strength wasn’t just balancing the books – it was investing in the people here at Metrodent.

Behind the sharp financial mind is a deeply caring person with a cracking sense of humour. You have always gone above and beyond for this company and for everyone who has worked here. Mike, you are leaving behind a true legacy of integrity, dedication and kindness.

On behalf of all of us, thank you for everything you have done over the years. Your guidance, support, encouragement and patience have made a lasting impact, and we are all better for having worked alongside you.

Mike, we are going to miss you terribly. Metrodent simply won’t be the same without you, but we wish you nothing but happiness, good health and adventure in your well-deserved retirement.
