What a wonderful way to round off our Care Home Open Week! 🎶⚽

Today, everyone came together for a fantastic Sing Along, filling the home with music, smiles and plenty of laughter. We enjoyed singing classics from the 1950s, 60s and 70s, with lots of familiar favourites that had everyone joining in.

Of course, with the football spirit still going strong, we couldn't resist singing a few football songs and chants too!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us throughout Care Home Open Week. It's been a brilliant week filled with fun, friendship and unforgettable memories. We can't wait to do it all again next year! ❤️🎉

Another fantastic day of our Care Home Open Week! ⚽🎉

We had a brilliant time reliving England's exciting match against Croatia from last Wednesday. There was plenty of flag waving, cheering, and celebrating every time England scored!

Our World Cup-themed food tasting was also a huge hit as everyone sampled delicious treats from England, France, Spain, and Turkey. The Spanish churros were definitely the crowd favourite—they disappeared in no time!

It was wonderful to see everyone coming together to enjoy the football, great food, and fantastic company. We can't wait for England's next matches and will be cheering them on every step of the way! Come on, England! 🦁❤️

Day 4 of Care Home Open Week was filled with music, smiles and song from around the world! 🎤

We were delighted to be joined by the lovely Molly Jane, who treated us to a fantastic performance featuring many of our favourite songs.☺️

To tie in with our World Cup theme, Molly took us on a musical journey around some of the world, singing songs from different countries. There was plenty of singing along, foot tapping and happy memories shared. ⚽️🥰

Thank you Molly Jane for such a wonderful afternoon of entertainment. We loved every minute!

Kicking off Day 4 of Care Home Open Week with a football quiz!⚽️

This morning we put our football knowledge to the test with a quiz featuring a World Cup round and general football trivia.

The quiz sparked lots of reminiscing, especially about the famous 1966 World Cup victory, with plenty of stories about football legends such as Bobby Moore and Geoff Hurst!🏆

A huge well done to Trevor, who impressed everyone with his fantastic football knowledge and correctly answered the majority of the questions! 🥰

What a fantastic afternoon for Day 3 of our Care Home Open Week! ⚽🎉

Our Penalty Shootout Afternoon was full of smiles, laughter, and plenty of friendly competition as people living in the home, their families, and our wonderful team members all got involved.

A special shout-out goes to Trevor, who wowed everyone with his fantastic football skills and impressed us all with some brilliant goals! 👏⚽

Everyone had great fun taking penalties, cheering each other on, and celebrating every goal scored. Congratulations to the Montague Team, who were crowned our champions after scoring an incredible 5 goals, with a couple of amazing 100-point shots! 🏆🥅

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make another memorable day of our Care Home Open Week. We can't wait for more fun to come!

What a fantastic afternoon of music and memories with Day 2 of our Care Home Open Week!💜

We were delighted to welcome the amazing purple angels, who treated us to a wonderful performance packed with football favourites and plenty of well-loved classics. ⚽️🎤

There was lots of singing along, foot tapping, clapping and smiling as they danced their way around us, bringing energy and joy to everyone.

This morning we got creative with a football themed painting session, designing our very own football shirts! ⚽️

The activity sparked lots of lovely conversations about favourite teams, memorable matches and who everyone used to support over the years. 🥰

One of our favoured stories came from Lynn, who isn’t a football fan at all, but proudly created and Aston Villa shirt in honour of her husband, as it was always his favourite team. 🎨⚽️

We made the most of the beautiful weather today, spending time in the garden enjoying the fresh air, good company, and their favourite music. 🌞🎶

There was plenty of laughter and conversation as everyone relaxed outdoors, socialising with friends and soaking up the sunshine. Moments like these are a wonderful reminder of how much joy can be found in simple pleasures.

⚽🌍 We kicked off the first day of our World Cup Care Home Open Week with a fun-filled seated football afternoon!

Everyone had a fantastic time passing the ball around, testing their skills, and aiming for the goal. There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition, and team spirit as we cheered each other on throughout the game.

It was a wonderful way to get active, have fun, and celebrate the excitement of football together. We can't wait to see what the rest of our World Cup Open Week has in store! ⚽🏆

Huge thank you from the bottom of my heart for your incredibly generous donations! We raised a whopping £1410 for Excelcare Foundation, supporting our Excelcare Family team members in times of need. The hike was tougher than expected due to some pretty bad weather, and we even encountered snow in two areas! We got soaked and cold, with the weather app reporting a "feels like" temperature of -7 Celsius at the summit – which felt even worse with wet clothes and gloves. But we didn't give up, and despite the rain and low visibility, we made it to the top! Thank you once again for this incredible amount raised; it will truly make a difference. 🙏💖
