A learning disability is a reduced intellectual ability, usually identified in a person’s early years. Many people with a learning disability may find everyday activities challenging, or take longer than others to learn and develop new skills. However, being diagnosed with a learning disability, especially if mild, does not mean someone cannot still thrive, especially with the right supports in place.

Mencap have put together a number of videos raising awareness of life with a learning disability. Increasing our knowledge and awareness of disability as a whole is a great step towards true equality for everyone.
