Sad news to share…..

SARAH AGNES WILSON

Of Bentham, passed away in the Ingleborough Nursing Home on Monday 26th October 2026, aged 79 years.

Beloved wife of the late Keith, much loved mum of Gary, Angela & Lindsey, special grandma of Ellie & Harry, sister of the late Ellen, a dear auntie of Clive & Barry, mother-in-law and a good friend to all who knew her.

Sarah will be sadly missed by all her loving family, relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service & Committal will be held at St John the Baptist Church, Low Bentham on Tuesday 10th November 2026 at 2pm.

Refreshments will be served at Bentham Golf Club following the service.

SUMMERS – PAMELA MARY LOVATT

Pam of Clapham, passed away at her home on Friday 23rd October 2026, aged 89 years.

Beloved wife of the late Bill, dear sister of the late Julia, special auntie to Alison, Catherine & Stephen and a good friend to all who knew her.

Pam will be sadly missed by all her loving family, relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at St James Church, Clapham on Wednesday 11th November at 1.30pm, followed by interment in Clapham Cemetery.

Refreshments will be served at Clapham Village Hall following the service.

Due to the awful weather, the golf club power is off so the refreshments for the late Evelyn June Smith will be served at The Victoria Institute, Low Bentham from 2pm.

JOHN TOWNLEY GORST

Of Gamblesholme Farm, Wray, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday 19th October 2026, aged 91 years.

Beloved husband of the late Ethel, much loved dad of Elizabeth & James, special grandad of Matthew, Joseph & Sophie, great grandad of Ben & Evie, a dear brother, uncle, cousin, father-in-law and a good friend to all who knew him.

John will be sadly missed by all his loving family, relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at Wray Chapel on Saturday 31st October 2026 at 11am, preceded by private interment in Wray churchyard.

Refreshments will be served in the Sunday School room after the service.

JOHN STEPHEN KENYON

Of Wray, passed away peacefully in the Royal Lancaster Infirmary on Wednesday 14th October 2026, aged 87 years.

Special brother of David, Stephen, Richard, Janet & the late Margaret, brother-in-law of Anita and the late Stella. A kind uncle and great uncle who also enjoyed the company of their friends.

John will be sadly missed by all his loving family, both in Wray and Canada.

The Funeral Service will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Wray on Thursday 29th October 2026 at 11am, followed by interment in the churchyard.

Refreshments will be served at Wray Village Institute after the service.

Beloved wife of the late Raymond, much loved mum of Denise and Andre, special granny to Louis, Evie & Imogene and a good friend to all who knew her.

June will be sadly missed by all her loving family, relatives and friends.
