So yesterday we had a little “buzz” in the garden — a swarm of honey bees arrived! 🐝

But fear not, our trusted manager, who also happens to be a beekeeper, came to the rescue. With the help of a fellow beekeeper, the swarm was safely collected and settled into a small hive overnight. We’re pleased to say they are now safe and well in their own fully fledged hive in our managers garden with their queen. 👑🍯

Our Countryview bees are black honey bees, — we’ll see how they get on over the summer months What an exciting experience for everyone involved. 🐝🌼

What a wonderful afternoon we’ve had today! 🇬🇧🌟

Our residents enjoyed taking part in a fun VE Day quiz alongside a quiz all about the incredible Sir David Attenborough.

There were lots of smiles, laughter, and great conversations throughout the afternoon, and everyone said how much they loved it! ❤️

A lovely way to spend time together while celebrating history and learning more about one of the nation’s favourite broadcasters and naturalists

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the family of one of our much-loved residents for their incredibly thoughtful donation.

She had such a love for singing and truly cherished her trips to Dementia Sings Out in Wellingborough — moments that brought so much joy not only to her, but to everyone around her.

The book of songs created in her memory is something truly special. The time, care and love that has gone into it is clear to see, and it will continue to bring comfort, connection and happiness to many of our residents and staff.

A beautiful way to celebrate a beautiful life ❤️

Can you spare a few hours to help an animal in need?

Not every rescue starts at the roadside.
Some begin with a phone call, and depend on someone being willing to move.

WREN is building a coordinated network to get wildlife where it needs to be. Vets to rehabilitators. Rescue centres to specialist care. Planned, purposeful journeys that keep things moving.

That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for transporters. People with a vehicle, a steady approach, and the reliability to be part of something bigger than a single rescue.

You won’t be acting alone.
You’ll be part of a system.
Guided, coordinated, and supported every step of the way.

You’ll need some very basic equipment (such as a suitable transport crate), and you’ll be expected to work to clear, standard protocols to ensure every animal is moved safely and consistently.

You choose when you’re available.
You take on journeys that fit.
And every journey matters.

Because without transport, rescue stops.

Join WREN – the Wildlife Rescue & Emergency Network.

Be the link that keeps wildlife moving.

🌸 Nostalgia in Action! 🌸

Our residents have been enjoying a very special activity lately — nostalgia! Taking time to reflect on life’s treasured moments, we’ve been bringing memories to life through picture collages.

This heartwarming activity has sparked lovely conversations, gentle smiles, and joyful recollections, reminding us all of the unique stories and experiences that make each resident so special. It’s been wonderful to see memories shared, laughter exchanged, and friendships strengthened along the way. 💛
