🌞🎉 Summer Fête! 🎉🌞

Sunday 12th July is the date for a wonderful afternoon of summer fun at our nursing home.

There’ll be plenty to enjoy, including:
🎵 Live entertainment
🛍️ Stalls
🍰 Refreshments and treats
🎟️ A fantastic tombola

We’d love to welcome residents’ families, friends, to come along and help make the day extra special.

Tombola Donations Wanted!
We’re currently looking for prizes for our tombola and would be very grateful for any donations of new, unused items, gifts, chocolates, toiletries, or other suitable prizes.

There’s always plenty of fun and friendly competition at our nursing home! 🃏❤️

Our residents have been enjoying a variety of card games, from classic favourites to new challenges, bringing lots of laughter and great conversations along the way. Card games are not only entertaining but also help to keep minds active, encourage social interaction, improve concentration, and create wonderful opportunities for friendships to flourish.

It’s amazing to see the smiles, teamwork, and healthy competition as everyone joins in. Another fantastic day of making memories and enjoying time together! 🎉

So yesterday we had a little “buzz” in the garden — a swarm of honey bees arrived! 🐝

But fear not, our trusted manager, who also happens to be a beekeeper, came to the rescue. With the help of a fellow beekeeper, the swarm was safely collected and settled into a small hive overnight. We’re pleased to say they are now safe and well in their own fully fledged hive in our managers garden with their queen. 👑🍯

Our Countryview bees are black honey bees, — we’ll see how they get on over the summer months What an exciting experience for everyone involved. 🐝🌼

What a wonderful afternoon we’ve had today! 🇬🇧🌟

Our residents enjoyed taking part in a fun VE Day quiz alongside a quiz all about the incredible Sir David Attenborough.

There were lots of smiles, laughter, and great conversations throughout the afternoon, and everyone said how much they loved it! ❤️

A lovely way to spend time together while celebrating history and learning more about one of the nation’s favourite broadcasters and naturalists
