THE MONTH OF MAY 🌷

May was a busy and enjoyable month at Elm Tree Court. Residents took part in community walks, enjoyed bus trips out, hosted a garden party, and had the exciting opportunity to meet players from Hull Kingston Rovers as they set off for Wembley. We also continued our popular art classes. It has been a wonderful month filled with activities, social events, and memorable experiences. HICA Group

THE MONTH OF APRIL

During the month of April we celebrated Easter, enjoyed walks in the local community, days out to Hornsea and Sailmakers. We have started the garden for this year's HICA In Bloom competition and said farewell to Tracy who is moving on to new ventures after working at Elm Tree Court for 18 years, we wish her all the best HICA Group

THE MONTH OF MARCH

We began a 6 week watercolour painting course with Artist Debbie, enjoying the chance to try something new, and also visited Hull Minster to see the Spitfire 90th anniversary display. We celebrated Mother’s Day and kept active with our movement to music sessions at Elm Tree Court and at the Flourish Centre Hull Dance. Our regular Read and Chat sessions with Hull Libraries continued to bring everyone together, and we ended the month by enjoying a Easter-themed community café at the Streetlife Museum. Group

THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY

Residents have enjoyed a wide range of activities including flower arranging, pizza making, a visit from The Mobile Museum and Reverend Lindsey. We also welcomed a visit from Guinea Be Okay, which brought plenty of smiles to everyone.

Our trips out have included spending time at the flourish centre with Hull Dance, Soccer Sensations Hull , the Streetlife museum shoppping trips and days out at the garden centres.

We recently enjoyed a visit from Guinea Be OkaySpending time with the guinea pigs brought comfort and plenty of smiles to our residents. It also sparked conversations, with some sharing fond memories of their parents breeding guinea pigs when they were younger and how much joy they brought to their childhood. HHICA Group

We enjoyed welcoming Helen from The Mobile Museum. We got to take a look back in time and reminiscence about school days, childhood toys, old money, war time memorabilia and much more as we had a display of items from 1910's - 1970's.

The display brought history to life and encouraged everyone to share their own stories.

THE MONTH OF JANUARY

This month at Elm Tree Court has been full of activity and enjoyment. Residents have kept busy with baking sessions, meals out, and visits to the community café at the Streetlife Museum.

We’ve also enjoyed spending time at the Flourish Centre, taking part in movement to music sessions, and supporting Mountbatten Primary School with their history topic. It’s been wonderful to see everyone so involved and engaged. 😀
