If you’re looking for support with alcohol or substance use, our team at Substances Support Scotland (SSS) offers walk-in triage appointments where you can speak with someone and explore the support that may be right for you.

You don’t need a referral, just come along.

We also run outreach triage sessions in locations across Fife, making it easier to access support closer to home.

🌱 Trainee Volunteer Counsellors Wanted 🌱

Are you currently studying an HND in Counselling and looking to gain meaningful, experience in a supportive environment?

We are seeking Trainee Volunteer Counsellors who are completing an HND in Counselling and are passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives.

As a trainee volunteer counsellor, you will:
💚 Gain supervised, hands-on counselling experience
💚 Receive professional supervision and ongoing support
💚 Work within a trauma-informed, values-led service
💚 Build skills and confidence to support your future career
💚 Support individuals affected by substance use and related challenges

To apply, you must:
✔️ Be currently studying an HND in Counselling
✔️ Be empathetic, reflective, and non-judgmental
✔️ Be able to commit time to training, supervision, and volunteering
