Your local pharmacy may also be operating different opening hours than normal, so please plan ahead.
If you need a repeat prescription, make sure you order and collect it in plenty of time so you have enough medication to last over the holiday period.

NHS Lanarkshire are committed to ensure that the best possible care is provided to our patients at all times. In order to support and sustain valuable General Practices, Protected Learning Time (PLT) will be in place across all participating GP practices.

PLT is an opportunity for the GP practice team to address learning and professional development needs.

The Practice will be closed today from 2pm til 6pm for Protected Learning time.

If you have an urgent medical issue during this time please call the surgery as normal and you will be diverted to trained call handlers who will triage you to the appropriate service.

Prescriptions can be ordered as normal during this time.

NHS Lanarkshire is urging everyone who is eligible to go for their potentially life-saving smear test.

Cervical Cancer Prevention Week begins on Monday, putting a spotlight on the importance of the test.

Celia Briffa-Watt, NHS Lanarkshire Consultant in Public Health (pictured) said: Please don’t ignore your invitation. A smear test can help stop cervical cancer before it starts – it could save your life."
