🎶 Calling all Yorkshire Celebrants! 🎶

We’re inviting our wonderful celebrant community to a special morning exploring Music & Memories — and how the right music can help create meaningful, personal moments within a funeral ceremony.

Music can bring back memories, tell stories, reflect someone’s personality and sometimes say what words simply can’t. 💛

This session is an opportunity to share ideas, experiences and inspiration with other Yorkshire-based celebrants, as well as explore how we can continue to create ceremonies that are truly personal to the families we support.

📅 Tuesday 8 December
⏰ 10am–12pm
📍 Full Circle Funerals
🎟️ Free to attend

Whether you’re an experienced celebrant or newer to the profession, you’ll be very welcome.

We’d love to spend the morning with you, sharing ideas, conversation and, of course, a little music. 🎵

👉 Book your free place via our Eventbrite page

Please feel free to share this with fellow Yorkshire celebrants who might like to join us.

🌿 What do you think of this type of coffin?

When we talk about more environmentally conscious funerals, one of the things we’re often asked about is the coffin.

This is our jute coffin – a simple, natural-looking option made using jute, a renewable plant-based material.

There are a few things we really like about it:

🌱 Natural materials – jute is a fast-growing, renewable plant fibre.
📦 Flat-packed – it arrives flat, which helps reduce the space needed for transportation and storage.
♻️ A lower-impact option – it avoids some of the materials and manufacturing processes associated with more traditional coffins.
🤍 Simple and understated – sometimes less really is more when it comes to saying goodbye.

And importantly, choosing a more environmentally conscious coffin doesn't mean you have to compromise on having a meaningful funeral. There are lots of different options available, and there isn't a "right" coffin – it's about what feels right for the person and the family.

But we're interested in what YOU think…

Would you consider a coffin like this for yourself or someone you love?
Do you like its natural, simple appearance, or would you prefer something more traditional?

💬 Let us know in the comments – we'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts.

If you'd like to explore greener funeral options, we're always happy to have a chat.

💭 Have you thought about recording your funeral wishes?

It might not be the easiest subject to bring up, but having a few thoughts written down about the kind of funeral you'd like can be a thoughtful gift to the people you leave behind.

This friendly, informal session is an opportunity to think about what matters to you, explore the choices available and ask any questions you may have. There's no pressure to make decisions or put anything in place – just a welcoming space to talk, reflect and plan ahead at your own pace. 💚

📅 Thursday 22nd October ⏰ 10am–12pm 📍 Full Circle Funerals, Harrogate

Whether you're just starting to think about your wishes or would simply like to find out a little more, you're very welcome.

💗 Supporting local mums, babies & families in Harrogate 💗

Matthew, our Lead Funeral Director at Full Circle Funerals in Harrogate, is delighted to be partnering with local charity The Village Harrogate to collect donations for local mums and babies in need across our community.

The Village does wonderful work supporting families, and we're proud to play a small part in helping them get essential items to those who need them most.

🧸 Can you help? Here's what we're collecting:

👶 Nappies (all sizes)
🧻 Baby wipes
🤱 Maternity pads & breast pads
🍫 Chocolate (a little treat for mum!)
🛁 Baby towels, baby bath & baby shampoo
🧴 Shampoo & conditioner for mum
🚿 Shower gel for mum
🪥 Toothbrushes & toothpaste for mum

📍 Where to donate?

If you have any of these items to spare, please drop them into the pink donation bin next to our community library at Full Circle Funerals on Skipton Road, Harrogate.

Matthew and the team will make sure all donations are safely delivered to The Village Harrogate.

Every little contribution can make a real difference to a local family. Thank you for helping us support our community and the wonderful work of The Village. 💗

🏆 We won! Community Impact Award at the Harrogate Business Awards! 🏆

We’re absolutely delighted to share that Full Circle Funerals has won the Community Impact Award at the Harrogate Business Awards! 💚

Pictured here are our wonderful owners Jade and Anne, proudly holding the trophy — and we couldn’t be happier to see our team’s work recognised.

Our application was based on the work we’ve been doing over the past year to make a positive difference in the communities we serve, including:

🌱 Increasing carbon literacy and helping people understand the environmental impact of funeral choices.

💚 Improving local bereavement support through our creative workshops, talks and opportunities for people to connect and talk openly about grief.

💬 Providing free educational talks and webinars around death, dying, funerals and end-of-life care — helping to make conversations around these subjects a little easier.

🤝 Supporting the Harrogate Kindness Festival, working alongside local organisations to bring people together and celebrate kindness and community.

For us, community impact isn’t something we do alongside our work — it is a huge part of who we are. We’re incredibly proud to be part of the communities we serve and to work with so many brilliant people and organisations who are all trying to make a difference.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported, attended, collaborated with or simply encouraged us over the past year. This award is a reflection of all of us and the amazing local community we’re lucky enough to be part of.

And of course, congratulations to all the other finalists and winners from last night! 🥂

What a lovely way to add to another busy year at Full Circle. 💚

🌿 Meet Dave Billington

Some of you may already know Dave, but with an exciting year of change at Full Circle, we thought it was time to introduce him properly!

Dave became one of the owners of Full Circle earlier this year, alongside Anne and Jade, but his story with us goes back much further – to a time when we didn't even have a name!

In fact, Dave was the one who chose the name Full Circle. He loved the connection to life's cycles, the environment (something he's hugely passionate about) and how it reflected our modern, thoughtful approach to funeral care. 🌍

Before helping to start Full Circle, Dave spent 10 years working in learning disabilities, an experience that helped shape his passion for supporting people and making a difference in the lives of others.

Away from work, Dave is a keen rock climber, and his love of the outdoors takes him to some beautiful spots around Leeds, Harrogate, Ilkley and the Yorkshire Dales. When he's not climbing or working, he's usually spending time with his lovely wife Hannah, a local nurse, and their two brilliant boys.

For Dave, Full Circle has always been about more than funerals. It's about people, community, the environment and doing things with care. He's incredibly proud of how far we've come over the last 10 years and excited to help shape the next chapter alongside Anne, Jade and the rest of the Full Circle team.
