⚠️ Planned Power Outage – Wednesday 8th July ⚠️

We would like to make our patients aware that Electricity North West have scheduled a planned power outage on Wednesday 8th July. We have been advised that the interruption is expected to last for approximately 2 hours during the morning.

During this time, Sandy Lane Surgery will be without power, which means there will be NO access to booking systems, prescription processing, computers, telephones, lighting, or other electrical systems.

For genuine medical emergencies - please call 999.
If you require assistance and cannot wait until the practice has power please call 111.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding while this essential work is carried out.

Children under 6 are now being offered the MMRV vaccine instead of MMR as part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme.
This replaces the existing MMR vaccine and adds protection against chickenpox, alongside measles, mumps and rubella.
You don’t need to do anything — You will be contacted when your child is due.
