Small thing I say to clients a lot: you're not a smoker, you're someone who smokes.
Sounds like semantics. It isn't. One's an identity, something you are. The other's a behaviour, something you do. Minds defend an identity a lot harder than they defend a habit, which is part of why "I'm a smoker" said often enough becomes self-fulfilling.
