🌈 Rainbow Baby Day.

Tomorrow our rainbow turns three.

Today I’m thinking of the babies who came before.

The rainbows who came after.

And everyone still somewhere in-between.

For Alexander.

For Oliver.

And for every family who holds both love and loss. ❤️🌈

UPFs were everywhere in 2025 conversations and beyond.

This study adds something more to that chat.

Higher ultra-processed food intake in men was linked to lower fertility outcomes, while maternal intake showed only modest early embryo associations.

Observational, not cause and effect.

But another reminder that male factor deserves far more attention than it’s currently given.

I don’t think the issue is that there aren’t answers.

It’s that you’re often given answers that don’t fully hold…

…or explanations that don’t quite translate into something you can actually use.

So you end up somewhere in the middle.

Trying to work out what applies to you, what doesn’t, and what decisions are actually being based on.

And that’s usually the point where things start to feel unclear again.

If you’ve found yourself sitting between different explanations that don’t quite land, that’s usually the point where working through it properly starts to matter.

GLP-1 therapy is effective.
Rapid weight loss can improve outcomes.
Micronutrient insufficiency can undermine them.

GLP-1 withdrawal and ovarian stimulation can overlap.

Without structure, that transition increases metabolic variability at a critical time.

Not everything carries equal weight before IVF//

NICE fertility guidelines prioritise age, ovarian reserve, BMI and pathology, because that’s where the strongest live birth data sits.
That doesn’t make nutrition irrelevant. It means clinical strategy requires understanding hierarchy.
