Lovely morning at The Nutritionist Brunch Club last week, hosted by ☀️

Such a great mix of practitioners, from GPs and functional medicine doctors to herbalists, nutritionists and nutrition scientists.

Days like this are always a good reminder that the best outcomes for clients often come from joining the dots and having the right support around them.

Always valuable to build these connections.

And yes… the goodie bags were a nice bonus 😄

“I just don’t feel like myself.” I hear this all the time.

This client had been dealing with fatigue, weight gain and low energy for months before deciding to look into it properly.

Rather than guessing, we used functional testing to build a clearer picture of what was driving her symptoms, including gut, hormone and blood markers.

From there, we focused on supporting her body and addressing potential triggers contributing to how she was feeling.

5 months later, she’s back to feeling like herself again.

If you’re feeling “off”, don’t ignore it - there’s usually a reason.

Can biohacking treatments actually help with IBS? 👀

I went to the .UK Longevity Lab to find out…

Here’s what I tried:

✨ Lymphatic drainage
May help reduce water retention and swelling, which can ease bloating. I definitely felt lighter and more comfortable around my middle afterwards.

🔴 Red light therapy
Known for skin health, but may also support inflammation, pain and recovery - all relevant when it comes to gut symptoms.

🫁 Oxygen-based therapy (IHHT)
Works more indirectly. May support energy and stress resilience, which are key for nervous system regulation. Given the gut-brain connection, this can influence motility, sensitivity and overall digestion.

⚡ Pelvic floor therapy
Helps strengthen the pelvic floor, which can be really important for symptoms like constipation, urgency or mild incontinence - something I see quite often, especially in peri-menopausal women.

My take:

These can be really interesting and supportive alongside the foundations
But they’re not a replacement for them

Gut health, diet, lifestyle and nervous system support should always come first.

Over 10 years of chronic bowel problems.
Hospital stays. Strong medications.

Christy was told she would need low-dose chemotherapy for the rest of her life to manage her ulcerative colitis. She was also told diet and lifestyle wouldn’t make much difference.

Before going down that route, she chose to try something else.

Using evidence-based nutrition science and functional testing, we focused on calming inflammation, strengthening her gut lining, supporting immune function, and applying targeted, research-backed interventions. 🔬✨

The result?

Her flare symptoms reduced significantly.
Her energy came back.
Her thinking became clearer.
Her weight started moving in the right direction.
And she feels better than she has in years. 🙌

Ulcerative colitis is complex and multifactorial. But when you support the whole system with the right strategy, the body can respond in powerful ways. 🌿

If you’ve been told “diet won’t make a difference”, it may be worth looking deeper.

Really enjoyed speaking tonight to lovely members of Blackheath Ladies Only Gym at in 💛

We explored some of the most common nutrition myths, challenged a few long-held beliefs, and had such thoughtful discussion around the importance of regular blood testing and really listening to the body’s symptoms.

I love evenings like this – open conversations, curiosity, and women genuinely wanting to understand how to fuel and support themselves better. Thank you for having me ✨

Wrapped up January with an energising wellness seminar 💥💪 at , alongside the lovely Paulina Ungurianu!

I shared 7 Nutrition Myths to Let Go of in 2026 (👀 spoiler: eating less isn’t the best way to lose weight, and bloating isn’t always about what you eat...), while Paulina brought the 🔥 with 7 Fitness Myths that definitely needed busting too!

The energy in the room was amazing – so many brilliant questions, curious minds and people ready to make real, lasting change 🙌

Huge thanks to for having me back for the second year running 💚 And to everyone who came along – you were fantastic.
