12 months of breastfeeding 🤍

12 months of comfort, closeness, bonding and nutrition for the both of us. What a journey!

It’s been one of the most beautiful experiences of my life, but I’ve also learnt that every journey has its own ending. Knowing when to continue, when to reduce or when to stop is personal — and looking after ourselves matters just as much as looking after our little ones.

To every mum — whether that’s breastfeeding, formula feeding, pumping, mixed feeding or somewhere in between — there is no right or wrong way. What matters is finding what works for the both of you, and allowing the transition to happen at your own pace.

My dearest Prince,

Thank you for giving me the greatest gift I have ever known - unconditional love. A love so pure, so selfless, and so constant that it exists beyond humanity. You showed me what it truly means to love without conditions, without expectations, and without ever asking for anything in return. For that, I will be forever grateful.

Thank you for the most treasured 12 years of my life. Every cuddle, every tail wag, every walk, every look, every moment with you became part of who I am. You weren’t just my dog - you were my family, my firstborn, my safe place, and one of the greatest loves of my life.

The world feels quieter, the days feel heavier, and my heart feels emptier knowing you’re no longer here. Life will never be the same without you, and I know a part of me will always be missing.

I hope you knew, every single day, just how deeply you were loved. You gave me far more than I could ever have given you, and I will carry your love with me for the rest of my life.

As our little man discovers his independence, we’re mindful that he’s watching every move we make. As his parents, we promise to model three things: to live authentically, to pursue what lights us up, and to value the people who walk alongside us in our lifetime. These concepts may be too big form him to grasp today but it will be the foundation of the man he becomes tomorrow! 💙
