The centuries-old practice of acupuncture has been studied by the UMass Chan Medical School, where they learned about the mechanisms, as well as the medical outcome.

According to Margret Chang, MD, assistant professor of medicine and paediatrics, “We’re now able to capture changes that occur from the moment a needle enters the skin all the way to how the brain processes pain.”
