Midlife has a funny way of stripping away the need to be universally liked.

You become a little less interested in being agreeable.
A little less willing to make yourself smaller so everyone else feels comfortable.

A little more protective of your time, your body, your energy and your boundaries.

And yes, occasionally someone may call you a bitch for it.

I’ll take that over abandoning myself to be considered nice.

Here’s to women getting older, louder, wiser, stronger - and keeping their bloody spark. 🧨

A little invitation to keep it real and put your effort where it actually matters. 💪🏻

After gallbladder removal, your liver still produces bile.

What changes is your ability to store and concentrate it, then release a larger amount when you need it.

For some women, that can show up as heaviness or consistent nausea after meals, changes in bowel movements, difficulty digesting fats, bloat that develops by the day, stubbornly low vitamin D or changes in cholesterol.

The body is incredibly adaptable and often finds a new balance. But sometimes it needs a little more support with fat digestion, bile function or nutrient absorption.

And this is important: removing the gallbladder does not necessarily remove the reasons the problem developed in the first place. 🚩

Dietary patterns, liver health, insulin resistance - all can still need attention after surgery. For some women targeted supplemental support may also be needed (bile salts, phosphatidylcholine, lecithin, antioxidants).

So even without a gallbladder, healthy bile production, digestion and metabolic health still matter.

If you’re unsure what to eat, whether you need supplements, or why certain foods suddenly don’t agree with you, you’re very welcome to book a Midlife MOT session.
We’ll look at your individual picture and create a clear, practical plan for what your body actually needs.

Any questions - ask them here. And share the video with a friend in need of hearing this information. Stay healthy. 🍂

Your gallbladder deserves far more respect than it often gets. 👑

For such a small organ, it has a surprisingly important job.

✔️ It stores and concentrates bile.
✔️ It helps you digest fats.
✔️ Bile clears metabolised hormones and cholesterol away.
✔️ It helps you absorb vitamins A, D, E and K.
✔️ And it plays a part in the wider liver–gut–metabolic picture that matters so much in midlife.

And yet, the gallbladder is one of those organs women often do not think about at all until something goes wrong. And suddenly, the conversation becomes about removal.

Now, sometimes surgery is absolutely necessary. There are situations where it is the safest and most sensible option.

But if you have a choice, I do think your gallbladder is worth understanding, supporting and, where appropriate, putting up a bit of a fight for.

Because “you can live without it” is not quite the same thing as “you do not need it”.

You can live without a gallbladder, yes.
But your digestion and gut then have to adapt to life without that storage and concentration system for bile.

So if you still have yours, look after it.
And if you no longer do, the conversation doesn’t have to end there.

Tomorrow I’ll share what I would focus on if you are living without a gallbladder, and how to support digestion, bile flow and nutrient absorption in a way that actually makes sense.

Your body is always worth understanding a little better. Stay tuned and follow for more 🍂

There comes a point in so many women’s stories when the instinct is to push harder and fix things faster. To change everything at once, because surely that is what it will take.

But when a woman is exhausted, truly depleted, more intensity is rarely the answer.

What she needs first is capacity. 🕊️

Healing cannot be rushed and it responds far better to readiness than to force.
When we begin by rebuilding energy, creating safety, and making a little more breathing space, something starts to shift.

The body softens, the mind steadies and change no longer feels like punishment - it starts to feel possible.

That was very much Christine’s journey.

The most sustainable shifts did not happen because we pushed harder. They happened because, little by little, she became ready.
And when a woman is ready, beautiful things can unfold.

If reading this felt familiar, and you know it may be time to have someone walk alongside you, you are always welcome to reach out via the link in my bio.

There is a small waiting time to work with our team, but introduction calls are available at short notice.

When you are ready to move forward, we can move together. To your radiant health ✨

We have reduced women’s health to hormone numbers on a piece of paper, while ignoring the environment those hormones are trying to survive in.

Your hormones respond to everything:
your gut, liver, nervous system, stress levels, inflammation, blood sugar, sleep, nutrient status, and even your gallbladder.

Which means many “hormone problems” are actually downstream consequences of deeper dysfunction upstream.

Your body is not malfunctioning, it is adaptive, intelligent, communicative, and your symptoms are not betrayals - they are clues.

And perhaps the most important thing no one tells women is this: you deserve practitioners who are curious enough to connect the dots, not just hand you a label and send you on your way.

I’m Olga Bonde, a nutritionist supporting women through midlife and beyond. Women come to me to decode their health in a sensible, calm and down-to-earth way. It’s lovely to have you here. 🕊️

🍂 Everybody wants results until they discover it involves consistency and commitment.

🍂You cannot outsupplement self-abandonment.

🍂 Stop seeking health “hacks”, start playing the long game.

🍂 Skipping breakfast is not a flex. In your 40s & 50s it is often a fast track to water retention, weight gain & burnout.

🍂 It’s not menopause that stole your energy; it’s the years of neglecting your body and your needs. Menopause just exposed the cracks.

🍂 If you are not pooping daily, you are reabsorbing your own hormonal waste. Make regular bowel movements a priority for your female glow.

🍂 Alcohol, sugar & late nights hit you much harder now, whether you like to admit it or not. What used to be harmless fun is now fuelling your inflammation.

🍂 You’ve been shrinking yourself for decades - in body, in voice, in worth. But your body is begging you to take up space again(and you feel it).

🍂 Nothing in you is broken. But you are running out of time to keep pretending you are fine.

🍂 Sometimes, you just can’t do it all by yourself. You can be very smart, but your blind spots are not called blind for nothing.

You’ve been DIYing it for years, & your saved folder on Instagram has 200+ useful posts, most of which you’ve never even revisited, never mind implemented. It’s about time you stopped wasting your energy and hopes.

Hire a mentor who’s not afraid to hurt your feelings like this in the service of your highest health & freedom.

AKA trust the healer who values telling the truth more than they value you liking them. 🕊️

The process is unlikely to be smooth. But there will come a moment when it all starts to fall into place, and you’ll be so glad you didn’t give up.

🍂 The Autumn Edit, our 3-week metabolic reset starts on Monday, September, the 14th.

Day by day, in bite-sized pieces, I’ll teach you to implement the framework I use with my 1:1 clients to help them rebuild their health.

🏆 Here’s the part that makes joining an easy decision: if, after three weeks, you feel no improvement, I’ll offer you a full money-back guarantee.

I’m confident in my methods, so the risk stays with me.

When no one can explain what is really happening beneath your symptoms, it becomes important to learn how to listen to your body instead of fearing it.

✔️ You stop chasing quick fixes and start asking better questions.
✔️You begin to look beyond labels and towards patterns: food, stress, sleep, emotions, gut health, inflammation, the nervous system, the circumstances of your life, and even what you believe in and stand for.

Healing doesn’t happen overnight.
It is rarely linear, and it is certainly not always glamorous. But step by step, clarity begins to replace confusion and trust begins to replace fear.

I am a nutritionist who lives with a bunch of autoimmune conditions. These days, they are in full remission. Not because I ignored them, and not because I simply followed an ever-growing list of medication recommendations without question, but because I learned to understand what was happening in my body and became an active participant in my own health.

That journey completely reshaped the way I work. It has since allowed me to support hundreds of women in finding clearer answers, receiving the diagnoses they had been missing, and rebuilding their health from the inside out.

If you’re reading this while standing in uncertainty, but you’re willing to do the work it takes, please hear this:
🕊️ Your body is not the enemy it may feel at times.
🕊️ And is not working against you - it is communicating.

And when you learn how to listen, so much can begin to change.

If this resonates, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

The Deep Health Reset is my six-month 1:1 programme designed to look beneath the surface of your symptoms, identify the patterns that may be driving them, and give you personalised support every step of the way.

Drop me a DM or book yourself in for an introductory conversation via the link in my profile, and we’ll take it from there.
