Celebrating 10 years of The Good Grief Trust 🧡☂️

As part of our work with The Good Grief Trust, some of our colleagues had the privilege of attending a special 10th anniversary event at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday.

The evening, organised by Linda Magistris OBE, Founder of The Good Grief Trust, brought together some truly inspiring individuals, including Dame Penelope Wilton, Patron, Greg Wise, Ambassador, and Rhian Mannings MBE, Founder of 2 Wish Charity, alongside many others who have used their own experiences of loss and grief to help and support thousands of people.

It was a powerful evening, celebrating 10 years of recognising the gaps within the bereavement system and working to ensure people can find the help, support and hope they need when facing loss.

Congratulations to Linda and everyone at The Good Grief Trust on 10 incredible years. Thank you for the difference you continue to make for so many people experiencing grief and bereavement 🤍

Sometimes, an interruption can change everything.

A message. A phone call. A conversation. Sitting beside someone. Asking, “Are you okay?”
When someone is struggling with suicidal thoughts, these small moments of connection can create a pause, an opportunity to interrupt those thoughts and remind someone that they’re not alone.

You don’t have to have the right words, and you don’t have to be an expert. You just need to care enough to reach out.

This World Su***de Prevention Day, let’s look out for the people around us. If something doesn’t feel right, start the conversation. That small interruption could make more of a difference than you realise.

What a difference 3 days can make! 🙌

Our amazing Grounds Team have worked flat out over the past 3 days to restore our chapel and bring it back to its former 1930s glory. 🕊️

We’re really pleased with how it’s looking so far, but we’re not quite finished yet! 👀

We’ve got a few more tweaks and finishing touches to make in Phase 3, so keep an eye on our page for more updates as we continue bringing our chapel back to life! ❤️

We’re incredibly excited to be restoring and uplifting the chapel at South London Crematorium, bringing it back to reflect its original 1930s character and history.

Work is well underway, with the restoration expected to be completed in September.
