💙 Happy World Physiotherapy Day!

Today we’re celebrating physiotherapy, our brilliant team, and the difference the profession can make at every stage of life.

Physiotherapy is about so much more than treating an injury. It’s about helping people regain movement, build confidence, manage pain and get back to the things that matter to them.

From helping a young athlete return to their sport, supporting someone through rehabilitation after surgery, providing specialist women’s and pelvic health care, or simply helping someone move through everyday life more comfortably – no two patients or journeys are quite the same.

Here’s to keeping people moving, active and doing what they love.

Happy World Physiotherapy Day from all of us at Bodybalance! 💙

🧠 Ready to do diastasis differently? Antony Lo (Antony Lo ) at the University of Hertfordshire for Diastasis Done Differently – a two-day practical course designed to challenge traditional thinking around Diastasis Recti Abdominis (DRA).

Rather than another set of rules or protocols, the course explores how clinicians can think critically, interpret the evidence and make confident, individualised decisions for the person in front of them.

Across the two days, you’ll explore:

🔎 Evidence-based assessment through a biopsychosocial framework
🧠 Critical thinking and clinical reasoning
🙌 Practical assessment and management strategies
🏋️ Loading, exercise progression and return to activity
📡 Real-time ultrasound demonstrations
💬 How to confidently answer the questions patients commonly ask about DRA

The aim? To leave with greater clarity, confidence and practical skills that can be applied in clinic straight away.

🌟 Helping children and young people move with confidence.

Every child deserves the opportunity to enjoy being active, whether that’s playing with friends, taking part in sport, or simply keeping up with everyday life.

At Bodybalance, our paediatric physiotherapists provide personalised assessments and treatment for children and teenagers with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. We take the time to understand each young person’s goals, creating a rehabilitation programme that’s tailored to them and their stage of development.

Our aim is simple: to help children recover well, build confidence in their movement, and get back to doing the things they love.

If your child is struggling with pain, has picked up a sports injury, or you’re concerned about how they’re moving, our team is here to help.

💭 How often do we stop and question the assumptions behind our clinical decisions?

One of the reasons we’re excited to host Antony Lo’s ( ) Diastasis Done Differently course is that it isn’t just about learning more about how to clinically manage diastasis, it’s about challenging the way we think about assessment, rehabilitation and return to activity.

For many clinicians, the course provides a fresh perspective on questions like:

❓ What does diastasis actually mean?
❓ When is it appropriate to progress exercise?
❓ How cautious do we really need to be?
❓ Are we helping patients build confidence, or unintentionally reinforcing fear?

Through practical sessions, case discussions and live ultrasound demonstrations, Antony Lo explores a more evidence-informed approach to helping people return to the activities that matter most to them.

As one previous attendee put it:

🗣️ “Very practical and a great course to get you thinking differently about challenging your clients and how you approach them.”

We’re looking forward to welcoming Antony back to Hertfordshire this September.
