This week marks campaign led by aimed at making domestic violence and sexual assault awareness and prevention a priority year-round.

For many victims of domestic violence, they suffer in silence as they fear what will happen if they speak out, or even if anyone will believe them.

Due to lockdown and people being forced to stay at home, this has sadly seen an increase in numbers of domesticabuse and domesticviolence.

The UK Home Office has developed the Ask for ANI scheme to increase the opportunities for victims of domestic abuse to seek support

Women in society carry so many responsibilities, and exhibit strength and support in so many ways.

During the pandemic especially, women have exhibited such resilience, but sadly many women agree their mental health has declined during the pandemic, illustrating the pressure women have been under since last internationalwomensday.

Today is a day to celebrate and thank the women in our lives, and also check-in on their wellbeing and mentalhealth, making sure they feel supported.

We have shared just a few signs that may indicate someone is struggling with their mental health, and remember support is available to help.

Today is Self-Injury Awareness Day.
reports that this is sadly a common coping mechanism, effecting roughly 1 in 12 people.

For many, turning to self-harm is a way to physically express something else inside that feels wrong- lockdown in particular has seen a serge in numbers of people who have turned to self-harm, as a way to process the extreme anxiety and stress these conditions have had on mental health.

However, there are many other ways available to help you cope and support you through these feelings. If you feel your struggling, talking with a therapist or counsellor can help you face these thoughts.

Loneliness is a feeling we will all probably face at some point in our lives. Especially now, navigating our way through this third lockdown has been understandably tough, but we must remember that there is an end in sight, and this won’t last forever.

For so many of us who miss seeing family and friends, going into work and talking with colleagues, or just generally miss socialising, this continues to be a lonely time as we miss the company of others to help alleviate this worry of ‘loneliness’ in our lives.

The has published research to reflect that teenagers' is continuously under severe pressure as the pandemic continues, with over 1/4 of those surveyed admitting they had felt ‘nervous, anxious or on edge’ on most days.

Last week marked the Children’s Mental Health Week. The theme for this year’s campaign is "Express Yourself"; how we can all find ways to help children to share and express their thoughts, feelings and ideas?

Research has found that 50% of those with lifetime mental health problems first experienced symptoms by the age of 14, reflecting the importance of mental health intervention for young people.
