First day of classes. ✨

One of the things I love most about teaching systems theory is watching the shift that happens when we stop looking only at the individual and begin looking at relationship, context, and pattern.

Systems thinking reminds us that the whole is larger than the sum of its parts.

Sometimes the most important question isn’t simply, “What caused the problem?” but, “What pattern keeps it going?”

A beautiful place to begin a new semester. 🤍

This summer I had the joy of running Becoming a Meditation Guide in a small, intimate group. It was meaningful, reflective, and genuinely fun to teach.

The next course is coming soon. 🌿

Awakening asks us to deal not only with our past, but also with the future — the world of worry and uncertainty.

“When we explore the future and make peace with our powerlessness over it, we enter the path of commitment to love.”

The here and now is where presence lives — and where our power lies.

This is the destiny of love.

Feeling safe in a relationship is not the absence of conflict.

It is the experience of being able to disagree, struggle, and still remain connected — with respect, care, curiosity, and a willingness to understand.

When conflict immediately signals danger, our nervous system can begin to respond as though love itself is at risk. Relational safety gives us another possibility: to stay connected even when things feel difficult.

I’m excited to be returning to the classroom this fall and continuing to teach about relationships through a systemic lens — how the patterns between us, our histories, our nervous systems, and the meanings we make all shape the way we love.

These are also the questions I continue to explore in my writing and speaking: not simply how we find love, but how we experience it, sustain it, and grow within it.

If this way of thinking about love resonates with you, you can read more about my work, book, and press on my website — or follow along as I continue exploring these ideas in upcoming talks and conferences.

Some relationships are not meant to be forever.
They are meant to awaken who you are forever.

And maybe that is what it means to be awakened by love: the love is not lost, gone, or finished simply because the relationship ends.

Sometimes that love changes form. It becomes wisdom. Self-knowledge. Compassion. Discernment. A deeper understanding of what we need, what we can give, and who we are becoming.

The relationship may end, but the love can carry forward in our awakening.

We transform that love into our destiny — into a deeper integration of who we are.
