Here are our fully trained new carers that are joining our team, after a 3 day intense training course with our lovely trainer and carer experience supervisor, Sarah.

100% of the new carer's 'Strongly Agreed' that Sarah's skills in training were very good and they had learned a lot from attending and will benefit from learning new skills and refreshing skills they already possessed. On the other feedback questions, each carer gave 99% Strongly Agree, except one who'd ticked good for one of her questions. So a very positive outcome.

After their last session yesterday afternoon, one of the new carers returned to the office with a bunch of roses to say a big thank you to Sarah and said that she thought she was a brilliant trainer and wanted to thank her.
Sarah was really touched by this and said she'd never received flowers from a new carer before. 'It made my day, how sweet'.

Sarah was once a carer at Right at Home, and wanted to progress in her career, so was sent to training and now Sarah organises all recruitment, training, onboarding and supporting our carers. Sarah is a great asset to our team here at Right at Home. Her calm, empathetic and friendly personality is a great gift, especially for our newly trained carers.

Well done Sarah! We are all proud of you! 👏

Happy 2026 day everyone.

The Right at Home Camden, Hampstead and Golders Green Office team went out last week to enjoy the sunset over St Pancras & Kings Cross together.

Our office team has grown over the past six months and it was a great team building event that we all enjoyed. Hard and passionate work does pay off!

We held our carers Lunch & Learn here last Friday - our carers enjoyed an interactive session covering Dementia Awareness and communication tips.

They shared experiences, tips and knowledge on how to care for someone with a type of dementia. Many discussions were had and a yummy lunch enjoyed.

We especially enjoyed the participation in our communication scenarios and open ended questions part of the session. We compared asking closed questions to open ended questions - such as 'What did you do today', 'Explain that to me', 'How did you', 'Tell me about...' etc, instead of 'did you...', 'was your food OK' etc. Everyone agreed that they had better conversations when they asked each other open ended questions.

We would like to thank our carers that attended, got involved and enjoyed our lunch and learn session.

Today, we join people across the world in recognising World Alzheimer's Day and raising awareness of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
