I don't have too many reviews for my yoga classes. The reason is that more or less the same people have been coming since the beginning.

New term starts soon and there is a rare opportunity to join us. The classes are accessible and affordable and we are a friendly bunch.

I teach on Mondays at 7 pm and Wednesday at 9.30 am in St. Leonard's Church Hall in Streatham, which is a lovely, welcoming space.

Do get in touch if you are keen to try some Yoga for better posture and healthy ageing.
The free spaces are limited.

I teach a mix of Hatha yoga, somatic and functional movement. You don't need to be experienced or flexible to join us. I always give lots of options so everyone can work at their own pace.

We start again at the beginning of September and there are only a few places left in each group.

Do get in touch or check out my website to know more and sign up!

Ok, let’s talk about legs. I came across this study about leg power and cognitive decline that got me really interested.

A 10-year twin study links leg power to sharper memory and slower brain ageing. The key finding - you have to stay active.

If you have ever been to any type of massage, you have surely been told to drink water afterwards. That’s so popular that some of my first time clients say it to me before I even open my mouth. So, we all know that but what else is good to know after a Thai massage session?

Here's what to notice in your body, sleep and emotions in the days after a Thai massage session.

How much of what we call ageing is actually just... not moving enough? It's a question researchers have been asking since the 1980s. My blog post explores the science - and what yoga has to do with it.

The science actually about movement and ageing. A look at decades of research and why it's never too late to start moving again.

The lovely hall was cool for the yoga class this morning. The props ready for everyone to come and practice.

I love that moment of anticipation before a class, waiting for people to come together to move. It's always calm, everyone coming in and settling, getting ready.

We don't usually chat before we start. That we leave for after the class, when the energy has shifted for all of us.

I teach on Mondays at 7 pm and on Wednesdays at 9.30 am at St.Leonard's church hall.
We are a friendly bunch and love welcoming new people.

Come and join us!

Thai massage is 2,500 years old and it is rooted in Ayurvedic medicine and Buddhist spiritual practice. Still its benefits are deeply relevant to the pressures of modern life.

So who is Thai massage for?

As a yoga teacher, I hear the same hesitations all the time. "I'm not flexible enough." "Isn't that all about stretching?" "Yoga isn't for someone like me." And I know these are the misconceptions that are keeping people away from something that could genuinely improve their lives.

So here are 5 myths about yoga and what I think about them.

Flexible? Religious? Expensive? Not necessarily. 5 myths about yoga that are keeping people off the mat and what I think about them.

How is your squat these days? Are your heels staying on the floor? Do your knees fall in? Can you go all the way down - slowly and in control?

These are all clues to how well one of your body's seven essential functional movements is working. Over the next seven weeks in my yoga classes, we'll work through each one - building strength, improving balance, freeing up stiff joints, and moving in ways that might genuinely surprise you.

Keeping these movements strong is what lets us stay independent and capable as we age. It's some of the most worthwhile work you can do.

Monday is already full, but there are a couple of spots left on Wednesday at 9.30am, St. Leonard's Church Hall.
Don't miss it.

If you work at a desk, your body is absorbing more strain than you probably realise.

Every hour of sitting tightens your hip flexors, rounds your upper back, and loads your neck with the equivalent weight of a small child. Over time, the body just adapts to that shape — and not in a good way.

I wrote about this and what Thai massage can do about it. Worth a read if you spend most of your day at a screen.

What sitting is doing to your body and how Thai massage can help desk workers.
