A huge well done to our Home Manager, Ola, who took part in Prostate Cancer UK March for Men at Battersea Park on Saturday 13th June💜

Ola completed the walk in an impressive 3 hours, helping to raise both funds and awareness for a cause that affects so many families. We are incredibly proud of his dedication and commitment to supporting such an important charity.

We've had a lovely couple of active days here at Amy Woodgate House 💜

It was great to welcome Emily Hampton back for one of her fun chair based exercise sessions. With plenty of stretching, gentle movement and a few props to keep everyone on their toes, our residents were all smiles as they got moving together 😊

The fun continued the following day with a game of ping pong target challenge, where residents put their concentration and coordination to the test by aiming ping pong balls into egg trays. There was a little friendly competition, plenty of encouragement and a few impressive shots along the way!

It's been wonderful seeing our residents enjoying themselves, staying active and sharing lots of laughs together 💜

We had a lovely visit today at Amy Woodgate House from Joanne, who was our lucky raffle winner at Celebrate Chessington 🎉💜

Joanne popped in to collect her wonderful prize from Albury Vineyard , and it was lovely to see her again and share a few smiles as she received it 🍇

A big thank you to everyone who supported the raffle and to all those involved in making the event such a fantastic day. We truly appreciate all the support and community spirit behind it 😊

🧀🌺 We put a tropical twist on National Cheese Day at Amy Woodgate House with a Hawaiian themed cheese and wine afternoon, and it was a real hit with our residents.

There was a delicious selection of cheeses to enjoy, paired with wine, while colourful decorations and Hawaiian music helped bring a little island sunshine indoors. Residents spent the afternoon chatting, laughing, and soaking up the fun atmosphere together 🍷💜

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it such a lovely celebration. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with friendship, good company, and plenty of tropical cheer 🌺😊

🐟🍟 Yesterday, we celebrated National Fish and Chip Day at Amy Woodgate House with a wonderful visit from a fish and chip van, bringing together residents, families, friends, staff, and members of our local community.

It was lovely to see so many of our wonderful residents confidently coming up to place their own orders, choosing exactly what they wanted and enjoying the experience for themselves. The atmosphere was full of conversation, laughter, and plenty of happy faces as everyone tucked into this much loved British favourite 💜

A big thank you to the gentleman who brought the fish and chip van to our home, as well as the team from Merritt Medical Centre Hook and the staff from Cohens Chemist , Chessington, for joining us and helping make the day so special.

It was a fantastic afternoon that brought people together over good food and great company 😊

There were plenty of smiles around Amy Woodgate House when nursery children came to spend time with our wonderful residents 💜

The morning was filled with chatting, colouring and games, with both the children and residents enjoying each other's company. It was lovely to see friendships forming across the generations as stories, laughter and creativity were shared around the tables.

Our residents were delighted by the children's enthusiasm and energy, and the children loved spending time with them too. It was a wonderful visit that left everyone smiling and looking forward to the next one 😊

We enjoyed such a lovely BBQ to celebrate National BBQ Week last week at Amy Woodgate House the other day, bringing our lovely residents and team together for an afternoon full of good food, laughter and great company ☀️💜

The highlight of the day had to be a surprise visit from some very friendly dinosaurs, who certainly caused plenty of excitement around the home! There were so many smiles as residents joined in with the fun, shared laughs together and enjoyed the unexpected visitors 🦖😊

It was one of those afternoons where everyone was chatting, laughing and simply enjoying each other’s company, making some lovely memories along the way 💜

Yesterday, our wonderful team from Amy Woodgate House was delighted to be part of the Celebrate Chessington 💜

It was such a lovely community event, bringing together local families, businesses and groups for a day full of entertainment, activities and friendly faces. We were proud to host our own stall alongside Emberbrook Care Home , where we introduced members of the local community to life in our homes and chatted all about the activities and experiences we offer 😊

Our raffle and tote bags from Albury Vineyard went down so well, and it was wonderful meeting so many people throughout the day. We also had some brilliant conversations with local businesses and community groups about future visits, activities, live music and school partnerships, which we’re really excited about 💜

Days like this are always such a lovely reminder of the importance of community connections, and we’re so pleased to have met so many new faces while continuing to strengthen local bonds 🌸

We’re really excited to be at Celebrate Chessington today 💜

It’s a fantastic local community event bringing together families, local groups and businesses for a day of stalls, entertainment and activities for all ages, and we’re looking forward to being right in the heart of it.

Pop over to our stall to say hello, have a chat with the team and find out more about life at Amy Woodgate House and Emberbrook Care Home. We’ve also got a raffle running with a vineyard experience for two and a bottle of wine from Albury Vineyard up for grabs 🍇
