We will carry out application tests for you in our laboratory.

Why are they so important?🧐

✔ According to Commission Regulation (EU) No 655/2015, all marketing claims included on cosmetic products must be supported by adequate and verified evidence that takes into account the latest developments.

What are application tests?🧐
Application tests are divided into use tests, where a survey is carried out on a selected group of probands, and measurement tests using modern apparatus.
In measurement tests we use the most modern Couraga&Khazaka equipment:
- Multi Skin Test Center MC1000 device
- VisioFace 3D

Our tests are based on the guidelines of: COSMETICS EUROPE: GUIDELINES FOR THE EVALUATION OF THE EFFICACY OF COSMETICS PRODUCTS

🌞For sunscreen products, an important parameter is the SPF factor, which determines the level of protection of the product against the sun.

On the cosmetics market you can find products with an SPF from 2 to 50.

⚠Do you know what this means?⚠

Let us to explain it with an example!

✔ If you have a cosmetic product with an SPF of 20, it will take you 20 times longer to get a sunburn than if you were not using a sunscreen. Additionally, an SPF 15 product stops about 93% of UVB rays, while an SPF 30 product will stop 97%.

‼CHALLENGE TEST – WHEN DOES IT NESSESARY?

A challenge test is necessary for products that do not comply with EN ISO 29621:2017 (it’s called low microbiological risk products). It serves to confirm if the preservative used
protects the cosmetic against the growth of microorganisms.

👉It lasts for 4 weeks and the following microbial strains are tested:
- Staphylococcus aureus,
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa,
- Candida albicans,
- Escherichia coli,
- Aspergillus brasiliensis.

⚠For products that match the PN-EN ISO 29621:2017 standard, the challenge test is not mandatory.

We can create such a challenge test for you in our Laboratory.

⚠New cosmetics products placed on the market as of 1 January 2021 must be notified on SCPN prior to being places on the market. Products available on the UK market before 1 January 2021 and already notified via the EU Cosmetic
Products Notification must be notified within 90 days from 1 January 2021.

we would like to say: hello!😎

👉We are a group of companies to help UK and EU Cosmetics Producer bring products after Brexit to the marketplace.
After Brexit, starting od first January, the UK has an own Cosmetic Regulation.
🖐 It has already been published and it is included within Schedule 34 of the UK Statutory Instrument Product Safety and Metrology Regulation. That regulation mirrors the EU Cosmetics Regulation and it will continue to ensure that products sold in the UK market are safe for the consumers. The UK Cosmetics Regulation require certain changes which involve new Cosmetic Notification, UK – based Responsible Person and re-labellling.
