πŸ’œ Loneliness Awareness Week

Loneliness isn't just a feeling, it can have a significant impact on physical and mental wellbeing.

During , we're highlighting the power of connection, companionship and community.

At Trinity Homecare, our Companionship Care service is designed to help people stay socially connected, engaged and independent in the place they love most: home.

Whether it's sharing a cup of tea, enjoying a favourite hobby, attending local activities or simply having someone there to talk to, our carers provide meaningful companionship that supports emotional wellbeing as much as practical support.

Because sometimes, the most important part of care is knowing someone is there for you.

Together, we can help ensure nobody feels alone.

We're proud to see our insight featured in Care Talk as the BBC's Caring Matters week shines a light on the realities faced by unpaid carers across the UK.

We are seeing more families seek advice earlier in their care journey, looking for reassurance, guidance and practical support before reaching crisis point. It is an encouraging shift that helps people remain safe, independent and comfortable in the place they know best: home.

The right support at the right time can make a meaningful difference for both loved ones and the family members caring for them.

A huge thank you to the millions of unpaid carers who provide incredible support every day. πŸ’™

β€’ Preparing meals
β€’ Companionship and conversation
β€’ Mobility support
β€’ Light household tasks

Most importantly, it’s about building trusted relationships and providing compassionate support that helps people continue living independently.

πŸ† Just 2 Weeks to Go! πŸ†

We are counting down to the Dementia Care Awards 2025 and celebrating an incredible achievement for our Learning & Development team.

Our dementia training leaders, Cheralyn Toye and Emma Bateman, have been named finalists in the Dementia Trainer and Workforce Development Award category, recognising their commitment to raising standards in dementia care through education, innovation and workforce development.

πŸ’¬ Cheralyn and Emma shared:

"Being nominated and named as Dementia Trainer and Workforce Development finalists is both an incredible honour and a moment of celebration. It is so rewarding to know that the hard work, dedication and achievements of our team, and the work we do at Trinity, are being recognised.

This recognition reflects not only what we have accomplished together but also the collaboration, support and commitment that have made it possible.

To be shortlisted alongside so many talented individuals and organisations is something we are immensely proud of and reaching the finals is a fantastic achievement that we will celebrate and cherish."

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and wish them the very best of luck on awards night! πŸ’™

🌟 What a fantastic day at the South of England Show! 🌟

On Sunday 7th June, the Trinity Homecare team had the pleasure of attending one of the South East's most celebrated community events, meeting local families, sharing information about our home care services, and connecting with people from across the region.

It was wonderful to speak with so many visitors about how quality care at home can help people maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. We also enjoyed meeting those interested in pursuing a rewarding career in care.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand and to the South of England Agricultural Society for organising such a successful event.

Building carer friendly communities starts with recognising the whole circle of care, from unpaid family carers and friends to professional care teams and local support networks. When carers are valued and supported, everyone benefits.

Our latest article explores why creating stronger connections around carers is key to improving outcomes, wellbeing and quality of life.
