No lecture. No script. Come and have a play.

The Active Learning Zone returns to BSIR ASM 2026, providing a hands-on, phantom-based learning environment where delegates can spend time at practical stations with experienced operators.

On Wednesday, stations include areas such as gastrostomy, GI stenting, biliary intervention, ultrasound-guided biopsy, drainage and nephrostomy, nerve blocks, ablation and paediatrics.

Thursday moves into areas including embolisation, thrombectomy, arterial access, vascular preparation and stroke thrombectomy.

The discussion at each station is guided by the experience and questions of the delegates, making it particularly useful for medical students, junior doctors and radiology trainees, while remaining open to delegates at all levels.

Sometimes you learn more by doing.

There are 10 days left to access the BSIR 2026 early registration fee.

But before you decide whether ASM is for you, take a look at what those three days actually include.

The programme combines scientific sessions with interactive workshops, masterclasses, practical learning, research, professional development and opportunities to discuss the issues currently shaping interventional radiology.

There is dedicated content for trainees and juniors, nurses and radiographers, alongside sessions covering established practice, emerging techniques and areas where opinion continues to develop.

Early registration fees are available until 17 September 2026.

Explore the programme first, decide what you would want to see, and then make sure you register before the deadline if you are planning to join us.
