One of the things I hear most from new parents is:

“I’m really nervous about coming.”

And I completely understand.

Walking into a room full of people you don’t know, with a tiny baby who may or may not decide to cooperate, can feel like a BIG thing when you’re already finding your feet as a parent.

So I love testimonials like this one.

Because behind the words is a parent who nearly didn’t come.

They weren’t sure what to expect.

They didn’t know anyone.

They were nervous.

And then they discovered that they didn’t need to arrive feeling confident.

They just needed to be welcomed.

That’s what I want Birch Holistics to feel like.

A place where you can arrive with your baby exactly as they are.

A place where you don’t have to know what you’re doing.

A place where nobody minds if you need to feed, change, cuddle or pause.

And somewhere that, hopefully, becomes one of the things you look forward to each week. 🤍

So if you’ve been hovering over the booking page thinking “I’m not sure…”

Maybe this is your little nudge.

September classes are almost underway, with spaces available where applicable.

What would you love to have in your week just for you and your baby?

This is one I hear, or sense, quite often.

Because when you’re looking at a baby class, it can be easy to imagine that everyone else’s baby will be beautifully settled, perfectly timed and somehow know exactly what they’re supposed to be doing.

And yours might not.

But here’s the thing…

Real babies don’t always fit neatly into routines.

They feed when they’re hungry.

They sleep when they’re tired.

They need cuddles.

They cry.

They need a nappy changing halfway through something.

Sometimes they arrive full of energy and sometimes they spend the entire class wanting to be close to you.

And all of that is completely normal.

You don’t need a predictable baby to come to Birch Holistics.

You don’t need to have the perfect routine.

You don’t even need to know what you’re doing yet.

You just need to turn up.

The classes are designed to fit around real babies and real parents, because that’s who they’re for. 🤍

And sometimes, simply having somewhere to go each week can become a gentle rhythm of its own.

September classes are almost underway, with spaces available.

So tell me…

🌿 A — My baby loves a routine
😂 B — What routine?!

“But I’ve never done anything like this before…”

You really don’t need to. 🤍

You don’t need to know how to meditate.
You don’t need any experience with sound baths.
You don’t need to be “good at relaxing”.

You don’t even need to know what to expect.

Just arrive.

We’ll welcome you, get you comfortable and gently guide you through the whole evening.

There’s no right or wrong way to do it.
Nothing to achieve.
Nothing to get “right”.

Just a couple of hours to slow down, breathe and be looked after.

Be Held · Saturday 5 September · 7–9pm

➡️And this week, when you book your £36 place, you can bring a friend for just £18. 🤍

This might be the biggest myth of them all…

“Everyone else will already know each other.”

Every September, a room full of strangers walks through the door.

Some arrive feeling excited.

Some feel nervous.

Some wonder if they’ll fit in.

Then something lovely begins to happen.

Conversations start.

Babies notice one another.

Parents swap stories.

Numbers are exchanged.

Coffee dates are arranged.

By the end of a course, many of those strangers have become familiar faces, trusted friends and part of each other’s village.

No one is expected to arrive knowing anyone.

In fact…

That’s exactly how most friendships begin.

✨ Did you meet anyone special through a baby class?

I’d love to hear your story below.

If September has been quietly sitting in the back of your mind, we’d love to welcome you.

30/08/2026

Who came to mind?

Maybe it’s your best friend.
Your sister.
Your mum.
The friend who’s always there for everyone else.
Or maybe it’s you. 🤍

Be Held is an evening created for women to slow down, breathe, reconnect and simply have a little time where nothing is expected of you.

And for this final week, we’re making it easier to share the experience:

Book your place for ÂŁ36 and bring a friend for just ÂŁ18.

Your personal 50% off code will be sent to you automatically after booking.

Saturday 5 September · 7–9pm

So… who would you bring? Tag her below, send her this Reel, or take it as your own little reminder that you’re invited too. 🤍

As August comes to a close, it’s easy to start thinking about everything September will bring.

New routines.

Fresh diaries.

Plans and to-do lists.

But before we rush into a new month, can I encourage you to pause for just a moment?

Think about everything you’ve already navigated this summer.

The ordinary days.

The adventures.

The cuddles.

The moments that didn’t go to plan.

The moments that turned out even better than you expected.

You’ve carried your family through another season.

And that’s something worth celebrating.

So tomorrow doesn’t have to be a dramatic fresh start.

It can simply be the next gentle step.

One day.

One cuddle.

One cup of tea.

One hour each week to reconnect with your baby.

That’s enough.

🤍 Before September begins, what’s one thing you’re proud of from this summer?

I’d love for us to celebrate those little wins together.

Places We Love is my little Saturday series celebrating the cafĂŠs, walks and hidden gems that make Yorkshire such a wonderful place to raise a family. I hope it inspires you to slow down, explore locally and support the places that help our community thrive.

This week’s recommendation is one of my favourite places for a gentle morning out…

Lotherton Hall.

I love that there’s no pressure to rush here.

You can wander through the gardens at your own pace, stop to admire the flowers, listen to the birds and simply enjoy being outdoors together.

For babies, there’s so much to notice, the movement of the trees, changing light, birdsong and all the new sights and sounds that make even the simplest walk an adventure.

And when you’re ready for a little rest, the café is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee and something delicious before heading home.

It isn’t about filling every minute with activities.

Sometimes the most memorable days are simply the ones where you have time to breathe.

🤍 Have you visited Lotherton Hall before? What’s your favourite part?

Or perhaps you have another hidden gem you’d recommend to a fellow parent?

✨ Know somewhere Birch Holistics should feature next? Leave it in the comments…I love discovering new family-friendly favourites.

Maybe you don’t need another thing on your to-do list.

Maybe you need an evening where you can take yourself off the list entirely. 🤍

Be Held was created for women who spend so much of their time looking after everyone and everything else, and sometimes need a little space to be looked after too.

If you’re craving a proper pause, wanting some uninterrupted time, or simply fancy trying something a little different…

this evening is for you.

An evening of candlelight, self-massage, sound and stillness, with nothing to achieve and nowhere else you need to be.

Just a little space to breathe, slow down and reconnect with yourself.

5 September | ÂŁ36

Come on your own, bring your best friend, your sister, your mum; whoever you think could do with a couple of hours just for her. 🤍

Save this for a woman who needs a little reminder to make some space for herself.

As summer begins to wind down, many parents start wondering how to make the transition back to routine a little smoother.

The good news? You don’t need to do it all at once.

Here are four gentle ideas to try:

🍂 Start moving bedtime a little earlier if it’s drifted later over the holidays.

☀️ Spend a little time outside each morning to help reset your baby’s body clock.

🧸 Bring back one familiar daily routine, such as a morning song, baby massage or quiet story time.

📅 Add one lovely thing to your September diary; something that’s just for you and your baby to enjoy together.

Sometimes it’s not about doing more.

It’s about creating little moments that help everyone feel settled again.

✨ What’s one routine you’re looking forward to returning to this autumn?

📌 Save this post if September is starting to feel just around the corner, and share it with another parent who’s navigating the end of summer.

Arrive. Breathe. Slow down. Be held.

A little glimpse of the feeling we’re creating for you on 5 September.

Candlelight.
Gentle touch.
Beautiful sounds.
Softness.
Stillness.

And a couple of hours where you don’t have to do anything for anyone else.

Just come as you are.

Be Held | 5 September | ÂŁ36

Come alone or bring someone you love.

Could you give yourself two hours for this?
