🌈Colourful semantics is a visual way to support children to build sentences. 🗣️
Sentences are broken down into smaller parts, each of which is associated with a question word and represented by a colour.
In schools it is used 1:1 or in small groups to help children develop vocabulary and build longer sentences. The approach can also be implemented at home in conversations. 🗨️

Bedtime is more than just a part of the daily routine — it is a powerful opportunity for language development 🌙✨

When we slow down at night, children are more tuned in, calm, and ready to connect. Try weaving language into simple routines by:
🛏️ Naming steps (“pajamas on… teeth brushed… story time!”)
📸 Using a visual timetable to support your child’s understand of each step in the bedroom routine.
💬 Offering choices to create communication opportunities.

These small, consistent moments help children build vocabulary, understand routines, and enjoy a special time with parent/carer.

What bedtime routine helps your little one feel connected? 💛
