“Watching my nephew graduate reminded me of something we don’t celebrate enough after 40…”
God, time really does fly. 🥲
This weekend was all about celebrating my gorgeous nephew graduating from Oxford University—and rightly so. 💛
It was amazing seeing so many young people marking such a huge achievement, walking through the city and soaking up the fun, confident, contagious energy in the streets.
Everyone was living in the moment—laughing, crying, eating, drinking, dancing, sharing stories and celebrating together. It almost felt like stepping back in time, surrounded by so much optimism and possibility.
But it also made me think…
We’re so good at celebrating graduations, promotions and milestones when we’re younger.
We say the encouraging words.
We tell people how proud we are.
We remind them how far they’ve come.
And I know from my own work just how powerful those words can be. Growth takes courage. Change takes consistency. Every achievement starts with someone believing it’s possible. This weekend, we all got to celebrate my nephew’s hard work, determination and everything he believed was possible. 👏
Yet somewhere along the way, many women stop celebrating themselves.
After 40, we deserve to celebrate too.
✨ Showing up for ourselves.
✨ Prioritising our health.
✨ Learning something new.
✨ Becoming stronger.
✨ Raising children.
✨ Changing direction.
✨ Saying no without guilt.
Growth doesn’t stop when we leave school.
In many ways, it’s only just beginning.
💛 Here’s to celebrating every chapter of life—not just the early ones.
If this resonated with you, save it as a reminder to celebrate your own wins—big or small.
